As I sit here with my eyes closed, all I can hear is heart beats around me and the music blasting. People is talking and having a great time while they dance. I’m just sitting at the bar area alone. Some girls would come to me asking me to dance, but I turn them down. Mostly because my throat feels like it was on fire because of their scent. I haven’t eaten for days, so it was hard to resist. I open my eyes and drink down the shot of liquor. The bartender lady pours me another shot.
“This is on the house.” She says as she smile at me.
“Thanks.” I say as I drink down the liquor.
“No problem.” After drinking down many drinks, my ears start ringing. Even though I wasn’t drunk, it numb down the pain in my heart. I can’t believe Lea is gone. I can still remember what Lea said to me.
‘Yes, I lied! Everything that happen was not real. I don’t love you, so move on. Stop wasting your time on me. Find a girl that will actually love you.’
I sit up quickly as I feel someone touch me. It was the bartender.
“What happened?” I ask as I look around. The whole club is empty.
“You passed out. It’s closing time.” As she was close to me, her scent is so strong. I stare at her and neck and I can see her pulsing veins. Her heart quicken. She clear her throat to get my attention. I look in her eyes.
“I’m sorry. What did you say?”
“I-I said its closing time. I can give you a ride…if you want?”
“No thank you. I have my own car. I can drive myself.”
“I don’t think that’s a great idea. You had too much to drink. You can just call someone to pick up your car.” I raise an eyebrow as I look at her sternly. She looks eager. I can tell she changed her outfit because she is now wearing clothes that was much more revealing.
“Are you sure? I don’t want to keep you up.”
“I’m sure.” She say quickly.
‘Sigh’ I really didn’t have my car. So I might as well go. “Okay. Thanks.” After she lock up the club, she leads me to her Volkswagen, which is a buggy. She starts digging into her purse until she pulls out her car keys. She tries to put it into the door, but it wouldn’t open. “What’s wrong?”
“My key won’t work. No big deal.” I walk towards her.
“Let me try.” She give me the key willingly. I try to unlock the door for a while, but it didn’t work. I smirk and turn back to her. In a swift movement, I push her to the car. “This isn’t your car, is it?” Her heart was racing.
“No it isn’t”
“Where’s your car?”
“It’s behind this one.” I look up and I see another Volkswagen, bug. I look back at her.
“Why you led me here?”
“Th-they all look the same. S-Sorry.” Her heart is beating rapidly.
“Am I scaring you?”
“Yes…No…I don’t know.” I smile at her.
“You are really indecisive. You remind me of someone.” That’s when Lea popped up in my mind.
“Is that a good thing?” She asks as she smile at me. I look at her as my smile went away.
‘No.”
“Oh. Why not?”
“It reminds me of a girl I use to know.”
“Where is she?”
“She left.”
“Why would she do that?” I frown.
“Please. I don’t need your sympathy.” I was about to walk away, but she stop me.
“Wait…I just want to get to know you. That’s all.” I turn around and look at her.
“You want to get to know me?”
“Yes. You want to go back to my place?”
After looking at her for a while, I finally agreed. So, we went to her car and she drove us to her house. As soon as she unlocks the door, we went inside. It was a 1 floor house.
“Nice place you have.” I say as I look around.
“Thank you. This is my Mom’s house, but she out of town.” She says as she wink at me. “You want a beer?”
“Sure.” I look back as she leave the living room. I went to the couch and sit down. When I was about to close my eyes, the girl was already out with two beers. She sit down next to me and hand me a beer.
“Thanks.” I say as I took a sip.
“No problem.”
“I never gotten your name.”
“Oh. It’s Rebecca.”
“Well Rebecca, you brought me here to get to know you.” She smile at me.
“Yea.”
“So…” Before I could finish, she lean over and kiss me. I move back. “What was that for?”
“We getting to know each other.” She says as she put her hand on my thigh. I realize that she took off her clothes because now she only have a lingerie. After a few more seconds, I look into her eyes. She look so desperate, but that wasn’t the only problem. My throat was still burning. It’s been so long since I had blood. It was dangerous to be here. I need to get out of here.
“Sorry, I have to go.” I say as I stood up and was about to go. She stood up and stop me.
“But…you just got here.”
“I know. Now I’m leaving.” I start to walk away, but she stop me again. So, without thinking, in a swift moment, I had her against the wall. She looks at me with shock and fear. She was about to say something, but I stopped her with a kiss. She kisses me back instantly. She dropped her beer bottle and wrap her arm around my neck. Her scent was so intoxicating. She smell so good. I pick her up and in a second, I had her in the bedroom. I lay her on the bed and start trailing kisses down her neck. She moans and lay her head back on the pillow.
My mind was all over the place. It was agonizing as my fangs start to grow. I really tried my best to not bite her in the neck. So, I stood up quickly and went to the mirror. I barely recognize myself. My eyes were pure black. I open my mouth and touch my fangs with my finger, but I end up pricking it.
‘I’m a monster.’ I thought to myself.
“What’s wrong?” She asked as she tried to come to me.
“Stay away from me.” My voice sounded more like a growl more than talking calmly. She ignored me and kept walking. The closer she got, the stronger her scent was.
“Are you okay?”
“Please don’t come any closer. If you know what’s best for you, I would stay away.” She stop behind me.
“I just want to help. Everything was great until you stopped…unless you thinking about that girl again.” I didn’t even say anything. She starts laughing. “Dude, get over her. She left for a reason. She couldn’t handle you.”
“Shut up.” I start getting angry.
“What? You know it’s true. You need a real woman who will never leave you.”
“I said shut up!” Now all I can see is red. I close my eyes.
“No. How you expect to move on if you keep thinking about her?”
“How you expect me to move on?”
“Well…you can start by doing this.” She said as she start trailing kisses down my neck.
I close my eyes and that’s all I can remember.
Lea
This is still seem unreal. Ever since I left L.A, things have been so awkward here. Even though my dating business has been excellent since Mrs. Knight paid me a lot and she told a lot of people about my business, I have been getting a lot of customers. Things haven’t been the same. Now I’m working more often because of how much customers I get. What I really want to do is kill Tiffany and get Dad back, but I can’t…I’m only human… and pregnant.
So that’s why I have been trying to get help. I couldn’t get the Knight family involved because of Addanc. If I get them involved, then I’m going to be in very big trouble. So, I have been getting Sarah and Tom to help. They are the only one who knows about Dad missing and my pregnancy. Tom is Sarah’s older half-brother. He is half witch and werewolf. The reason Tom know about Dad’s disappearance is because he is excellent at tracking people… He’s a tech geek.
I was so happy when Sarah gotten Tom to help. Tom has been helping by tracking down Tiffany’s cell phone and checking everywhere she has been for the past month. So far, the last time Tiffany phone has been on is the time I gotten back from Los Angeles.
I still can’t believe she took Dad from the hospital. I ask the doctor if they have seen my Dad, but there was one big problem. They don’t even know who Dad is. They think he died in the crashed with Mom. So that tells me that Tiffany erased everyone memory. I can still remember that day.
*******************************
Sarah and I hurries out the car and run into the hospital. I go to the front desk. The lady look at me like I was crazy.
“I’m here to visit Rob Richardson.” I ask quickly.
She start typing in her computer. “There is no Rob Richardson here.”
Now I was getting angry. “What you mean he wasn’t here? He’s been here for 3 years in a coma.”
“Miss, please calm down.”
“Don’t you dare tell me to calm down! Some crazy woman took my Dad and you telling me he was never here!”
“Don’t make me call security.” She say cautiously. Sarah move me back.
“Lea, calm down. Yelling at the nurse won’t make things better. I got this. Just breathe.” Sarah says as she sat me down in a chair. I nodded. Sarah turn to the lady. “I’m sorry. She just pregnant. You know how it is.”
She looks at me, then back at Sarah. “Yea. That explains it.” I roll my eyes.
“Can you get Dr. Peterson? He did operation on Lea’s father. He will be able to explain things.” The nurse look between me and Sarah.
She sighs. “Fine. Sit down until he gets here.”
“Thank you.” Sarah sits next to me as she called. We had to wait for a few minutes, which was agonizing. Dr. Peterson walks through the double doors. I stood up quickly and went to him.
“Thank you so much for coming. Can you please tell this lady that my Dad was here?” I say as I give her a dirty look.
“Do I know you?” He asks.
“Yes. You operated on my Dad.”
Dr. Peterson leaves for a bit, then came back with a file. “You said his name was Rob Richardson?”
“Yes.” Dr. Peterson looks through the file.
“You right. I did do a operation on him.” I sigh in relief.
“Thank you.”
“Wait, not finished. I did operate on him on the day of the crash. Like your Mom, he died. He died during surgery.” I back away.
“No…that’s not true… It’s not true.”
“I’m sorry, but it is. His injuries was more severe than your Mom. We couldn’t save him.”
I start crying.
