One, two, one, two I counted the steps in head; then the song changed from dance to heavy metal great! I stopped to change the track, then a buzzing; I pressed the answer button.
“Hello?” I panted – jogging was not helping me speak;
“Hey sparks!” oh brilliant Mary was my bosses receptionist
“Oh hey Mary, what’s up?” trying to hide the fact that she really annoyed me.
“Oh nothing much it’s just that Carl wants to see you”
Carl was my boss; he had wanted to see me a lot more since my promotion to “special agent”
“Well tell him its Saturday mu day off so I’ll see him on Monday!” my anger and annoyance breaking through.
“Ok ok ok sorrrrry he wants to see you NOW so don’t go shouting at me and he means now!” and with that she hung up.
“Oh this is a great way to spend a Saturday.” I growled under my breath as i jogged back to HQ
