porch for something to protect herself with, but there was nothing. She closed her eyes and prepared for the attack, knowing there was nothing she could do, thinking to herself that this would be the end; but then suddenly, she heard buzzing. It became thunderous and drowned out the sound of the humming that came from the Hornet Queen. When Bev opened her eyes, she was relieved to see the entire Pukwudgie Tribe, shape-shifted into honey bee queens, surrounding the porch to protect and defend her! About half of the Pukwudgie shape-shifters had bows and arrows and were aiming shots at the Hornet Queen and her drones, causing a couple of her drones to fall injured to the ground.

Just then, the Hornet Queen stopped mid-flight and glared over her shoulder, seeing Bitty running toward the woods. She looked back at Bev and the Pukwudgie honey bee queens, then glanced back at Bitty. The little furry girl had stopped running and turned toward the Hornet Queen, waving her arms wildly again.

Freda, the Great Blue Heron, took flight instantly to head toward Cleg and the rest of the Hairy Man Tribe to warn them of the current situation and to get their help.

The Hornet Queen pointed, signaling to her remaining ten drones to stop Bitty by attacking her so that she could not notify the Hairy Man Tribe. She had to stop Bitty from reaching her tribe, or else she would be done for.

Half of the Pukwudgie tribesmen shifted back to their natural forms, including Zonga. The rest followed closely behind the Hornet Queen. Zonga climbed the stairs to the porch and approached a very pale and extremely injured Bev, while the remainder of the Pukwudgie tribesmen went to put out the corn field fire.

Bev weakly reached her hand out to Zonga. She was so grateful that he had come to save her that she was crying. β€œThank you for coming, Zonga. I was so scared that the Hornet Queen was going to get me,” she said.

Zonga took Bev’s hand and gazed down at her leg with pity. β€œYour leg is broken. I am going to get you help.”

Before Bev could say anything, Zonga took a strange-looking, crooked silver arrow from his quiver. He placed the arrow in his bow and pulled back on the string with all his strength. He pointed it straight in the air and let the arrow fly, and Bev watched in amazement as the arrow soared high into the sky.

A burst of light appeared, and descending from the light was Princess Celia. As her feet touched the porch, Bev sat up and reached for her hand, crying in pain as she did.

Princess Celia looked deep into Bev’s eyes and could see telepathically what had happened. She whispered, β€œIt will be all right, Bev. I will take care of you.” Then she waved her free hand over Bev’s face, making her enter into a peaceful sleep.

Zonga approached Princess Celia and wondered if she could help his human friend. He asked the princess if she was capable of healing Bev’s leg. Princess Celia smiled kindly at Zonga and gently nodded her head. β€œYes, I can. She will be healed shortly and will be good as new. I promise.”

Princess Celia turned her focus to Bev and closed her eyes as she moved both of her hands over the injured girl’s leg. A soft, warm glow appeared on Bev’s injury and became brighter and brighter as the princess worked diligently on the broken leg. The light was so bright that Zonga had to shield his eyes.

After a few moments, the intense light over Bev’s leg disappeared. The princess took a silver strip of fabric and wrapped it tightly around Bev’s leg. As soon as she finished, the strip of fabric began to sparkle intensely, and Bev stirred as the sparkle began to pulsate.

Zonga took a step closer and held the sleeping Bev’s hand to comfort her and send positive healing energy. Bev stirred again, and Zonga thought she must be somewhere between being asleep and being awake. He held her hand tighter; and in the blink of an eye, the silver fabric gave off a burst of light, and sparkles floated all around Bev’s leg like dust. As quickly as the burst of light with the sparkles appeared, it was gone.

Zonga was elated to see that Bev’s leg was completely healed. He peered up at Princess Celia and said, β€œThank you for helping my human friend.”

Princess Celia assured Zonga that Bev would be fine. She turned and looked over her shoulder as both she and Zonga could hear the infrasound whoops interrupting the quiet. She knew that she needed to leave immediately in order to assist with the next phase of the plan. Before Zonga could say anything, Princess Celia was gone with a burst of light.

Zonga thought to himself, That is why I call her the majestic Rider of the Light.

A Healing

When she woke up, Bev found Zonga kneeling beside her. She smiled and Zonga stroked her hair, saying, β€œEverything is okay now. Your leg is healed.”

She reached down to feel her leg and noticed that she could move it easily and without pain. She looked up at Zonga inquisitively, β€œHow?”

Zonga embraced Bev in a bear hug and said, β€œThe princess used her magic to heal your leg.” The pair had come a long way in their friendship and had grown very close. She knew that Zonga would forever be a true friend to her.

Over in the clearing, Cleg and his tribesmen were waiting for the Hornet Queen and her drones to arrive. The chief could hear the distant infrasound whoops from the tribesmen and knew that it was time. They could not fail. The tribe was full of courage and commitment, and they loved the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and would protect all within the park boundaries.

Cleg could not only hear the infrasound whoops, but he could also feel them vibrating through his soul. The humming of the
