It’s his uncle, Javier.
“My beautiful Emery, you are even more exquisite than the last time I saw you. Felipe has pined for you from afar for far too long. Too bad my nephew just doesn’t know how to get what he wants,” Javier grins, lifting a hand to slide it along my cheek.
“What do you want from me?” I demand yanking my face away from his touch.
“Ahh what I want isn’t only from you but rather that hijo de perra you married. Seems Scorch can’t stay out of my business. So now I’m taking something from him to teach him a lesson. I’m sure he’ll have a field day with my nephew trying to find out where you are,” he chuckles.
Great. Just fuckin’ great. The whole Alcazar family is insane. Or maybe they’re just all stupid.
Shaking my head, I shut down all my emotions and clear my head of all thoughts. I’ll need my wits for getting myself out of this situation. At least keep myself alive until Demi finds me. Liam, Demi, Stone, and I all have a chip embedded beneath our skin in the bottom of our foot that can track where we are at all times.
It was Liam’s idea after what happened to me as well as his girlfriend who’d been kidnapped. She’d been tortured by one of our enemies as they tried to get information out of her. They’d done everything from raping her to cutting off her toes and fingers. The last thing they’d done was sever her head and send it back to my brother in a box. A note had also been attached. Enjoy the rest on a silver platter.
Inwardly shaking my head, I slide as far away from Javier as I can. Right now, there’s nothing else I can do.
Chapter Fifteen
Scorch
The persistent buzzing of my phone causes me to have to pull over to the side of the road to check it. Everyone knows when I’m out riding not to bother me unless it’s an emergency.
Pulling my phone out, I don’t bother looking at the screen to see who it is as I answer the call. “What?” I demand.
“Prez, you need to get to the clubhouse now,” Bane seethes through the line. In the background I can hear my son asking for me.
“I’ll be there in five,” I say, hanging up. I shove the phone back in my pocket, and take off in the direction of my club. The closer I get the more my stomach tightens. What’s happened within the half hour I’ve been gone?
I’d left to clear my head after freaking out over the fact my woman told me she loved me.
Fuck.
Never should have taken off the way I did. Like she was a two-cent whore. That’s not my Emery. No, she’s stronger than any other person I know. Surviving that gunshot wound and bringing up our son. I need to let the pain go if I’m going to be able to move forward.
Granted I wasn’t ever planning on letting her get away from me again.
Pulling up to the clubhouse, I spot Dipshit opening the gate quickly for me. I park my bike in my spot and climb off. Walking into the clubhouse, the tension in the room hits me right away. I spot Demi and Bane standing toe to toe. Stone in Ram’s arms, he looks as if he were shaking.
What the fuck is going on?
Then it hits me I don’t see Emery.
“Where’s Emery?” I demand as silence fills the room as everyone turns to face me.
“If your pain in the ass VP here would get out of my way, I would be able to find her,” Demi snaps.
“Don’t play that bullshit, woman you are not leaving this clubhouse. Tell me what the fuck that note says,” Bane snarls narrowing his eyes on Demi.
Shit I don’t remember the last time I ever saw him this infuriated with a woman.
“Dad,” Stone yells my name as Ram puts him down. Running to me, I pick him up. I know for him being ten, most people would think he was tougher but he’s not like other kids.
Emery had explained to me he has a nerve sensory issue so loud noises like screaming and yelling freak him out and cause him to recoil and start to cry. It comes with him having ADHD.
I’d been confused by it until I looked up the fact there’s different forms of the disorder. Emery told me that he has medicine he takes every day to help keep him focused and that it helps with his nerve sensory. Only when he’s put around high stress situations, he can still have an episode like right now.
“Someone had best start explainin’ and tell me where the fuck my ol’ lady is,” I demand, narrowing my gaze on my VP and sister-in-law.
“She’s gone Prez,” Bane mutters, blowing out a breath.
“Gone?” My body tenses as I wait for them to explain how the hell that’s possible.
Did my fuck up cause her to leave?
No, she’d never leave Stone. Not without reason. Something’s happened.
“Here,” Demi grumbles, handing me a piece of paper. “She left this in your room. Your brothers can tell you the rest. Can I have access to your computer now?” Demi being the woman she is crosses her arms over her chest pushing her tits up and all but spilling out of her tank top. She’s not one for wearing clothes and I don’t think I’ve ever seen her in more than her small as fuck tops and shorts or jeans.
Taking the paper from her hand, I ignore the snark demand and listen to
