cancer and, with that, has had a change in heart with the way she is. My father won’t put her down like my uncle wants him to.

“Is that all you have to tell me?” I demand, running the flame along Mario’s chest.

“Willow was supposed to be someone else’s. He wants her dead now that she’s no longer a prized possession,” Mario states, panting for breath as he tries to move away from the torch’s flame.

“Who?” I snarl, anger rising inside me even more so at the mention of my ol’ lady being a possession.

“I don’t know his name,” Mario says, panic setting in as I lift the torch closer to his face.

“You sure about that?” I press the flame to his left eye burning through the eyelid savoring his screams.

“His name’s Johnathan Bryant,” Bambi screams out the answer for her brother.

“Cy, you get that?” I ask.

“I’m on it,” he mutters and rushes out of the shed to get to work on the name.

“Who’s this Johnathan Bryant?” Hammer asks as I pull the flame away from Mario’s face. The smell of burning flesh filling the room.

“I don’t know who he is. Just that he’s pissed about losing out on getting her,” Bambi cries.

“That all you know?” I demand.

“Yes, our father is friends with your uncle. It was between the two of them that they brought Mario in on the business and, as such, asked me to do something I thought wouldn’t be hard since I wanted you for myself anyway,” Bambi states, still stuck on the part where she thinks I should have been hers.

Turning the torch off, I place it on the floor and wrap a hand around the handle of my knife in Mario’s leg and pull it out, earning screams from both him and Bambi. With quick movements, I slice through his throat, blood pours out as I slash him sternum to pelvis, and finally lift the blade up and thrust it into his eye that I’d not burned yet.

I take a step back, breathing harshly and look to my Prez. “I want his body sent to my uncle. This is a message to him. I’ll fuck him up if he wants to do this. He won’t win.”

“I’ll get a prospect on it,” he says without hesitation. “We ride through hell to get to the other side.” The words are repeated by each of my brothers in the room.

“We ride through hell to get to the other side. And burn the fuckers who get in our way,” I snarl and make my way out of the shed into the shining light of the day.

A part of me feels a sense of ease with the light of day. My ol’ lady is my light that shoots its firing heat straight to my soul. I’ll do whatever it takes to protect that light, even if it means making the waters flow red with the blood of our enemies.

Starting with whoever this Johnathan Bryant motherfucker is.

I’ll have his blood on my hands.

Ally

I knew Burner would come get me after Malice and the rest of the men finished with the man in the shed out back. Even if they see that vile woman as nothing but a monster and Gunner would have no problem taking her out, they asked me to do it.

I didn’t have a problem with it, but this would be the last time I do something like this. I know my uncle will understand my reasons and he’ll respect them. Burner told me I didn’t have to do this, that he’d kill the cunt himself. This is one of the many reasons I love the man who saved me from myself and made me want to live again.

Bambi is going to die at my hands for what she did. You can go after anyone else and still be killed for it but never and I mean you never harm a child. I lived through hell for most of my life at the hands of a man who would, if he could, still try to hurt me. I won’t stand for some bimbo attempting to kill three innocent babies that can’t even defend themselves.

Stepping back into the shed, I take note of the disposal of the man who’d been hanging near Bambi. The stench is worse than before but it’s okay. I’ll make this quick, if not as painful for her.

Turning to Burner, I hold out my hand. “Blade please.”

Burner hands me the blade I need while his eyes blaze with fire. He doesn’t like me being in here. He hates when I do stuff like this for the club, for his brothers, but he’s always there for me. It’s also why so many of his brothers from the Franklin charter came with us. They all want to show their support, not just to me but to the men of this charter.

Focusing my attention on the bitch, still tied, I move closer and backhand the side of her face bringing the tip of the blade down her cheek as I go causing her to scream out in pain. “You are a worthless bitch,” I mutter venomously. Blood is trickling down her cheek.

I switch the blade to my other hand and do the same thing. Satisfied she’s bleeding from either side of her face, I use my free hand to grip the back of her hair. “I hope you burn in the deepest depths of Tartarus and that Hades himself will show you no mercy for what you attempted to do,” I sneer, ramming the blade between her ribcage, embedding it into her body as she screams in agonizing pain.

Releasing her hair and the handle of the blade, I step back and turn to Burner. I walk to him where he surrounds me in his heat as I look to the rest of the men and nod. I let Burner guide me out of the shed away from the stench of death. No more will I be going into
