But I just could not be able to raise and love this child after all the things I’ve been through. It feels awful of me to say but it’s the horrible truth. CiCi supported me through all of this. She gave me a big hug and kiss. Dr. Samuel said I should go to California and well, here I am. I found a local one while we were packing up back in Vanetta. It has positive reviews about friendly staff and how they don’t judge their patients.

On my way there, I felt like I knew what to expect. But I wasn’t ready for it. I drove by looking for a parking spot and there’s protesters all outside the front entrance. When I found a spot, I sat in my car for a bit to mentally prepare myself. I was like 45 minutes early anyways, so it worked out. I decided to turn on ComBox News on my car’s radio. I was curious if they had any words about my father. Lo and behold they were as soon as I turned it on.

“Hi. I’m Gene Richardson. We are currently taking the hour to remember longtime ComBox Studios anchorman Cordell Hendricks. We actually received a handwritten letter from Cordell before he was found dead. This is our first time reading the letter. Corporate told me not to read it first time live, but Cordell was my friend and I’m going to respect his wishes. The letter reads:

Dear ComBox Studios,

I am asking that you read this live on air. I know Gene will because she was the only one who respected me there. I am writing this to the studios in response to recent events. Today, I am going to commit a crime. Two acts of murder. This crime is in response to the actions Mr. Louis “Tate” Gladys, a.k.a. Jordy Jason, committed against my beloved wife and his and Mr. Po Gladys’ actions against my daughter. World-renowned stockbroker, Louis Gladys raped and killed my wife in an act of jealousy. An act in response to her choosing me over him. Your beloved businessman sexually assaulted and murdered my wife because of high school drama. Not only this, but he had taught his own son his disgusting ways and manipulated my daughter. His son lured my daughter to a graduation party, before graduation, where a well thought out sexual assault plan took place. Him and his son had assistance by Vanetta-Tope seniors: Marcy and Mariah Ashley, Milo Erickson, Marcus Jacobs, and Mandy Jennifer. Better known as the M gang in their school. I am hereby requesting an investigation conducted by Arizona State Police and overseen by the FBI into those children and their plot against my daughter. She was raped by both Gladys’. Then there was an attempted murder by Gladys’ subsidiary “Limbo Stocks”, overseen by the big bad businessman himself. I had a case prepared to go against Mr. Louis Gladys for his crimes against my wife. He used his money to influence Judge William Flynn, the corrupt Vanetta-Tope Police Department, Arizona State Police, Tyson News, and my very own ComBox Studios. To the corporate at CS, I hope that everyone can now see your corruption under ownership of big businesses. The same goes for Tyson News. I hope that bigger news networks such as XYZ, FMFL, JoBerg, Squirrel, and Zeta will report this corruption that has taken over our great state of Arizona. From my bottom of my heart, ComBox Studios. Fuck you.

Love,

Cordell

And with such true words spoken, I can follow up and say, fuck you ComBox Studios. I officially quit. Goodbye and good—we will be taking a brief intermission.”

I began to cry, but it was beautiful. Father was so vengeful, and I respect what he was doing for me. And of course, for himself. It’s hard to think about but he knew he was going to succeed and follow up by taking his own life. I love you, dad. I will follow on with this life, living for you.

After I cleaned myself up and prepared mentally, it was time. I got out of the car and began the walk to the entrance. Just look forward, Heather. Just look forward. I could feel the stares. As long as I looked confident, maybe they woul—

“SINNER!”

Never mind. It began. The shouting at me. Getting in my face. Trying to pressure me from going inside. All the hate. Calling me a slag, ho, a sinner, I’m doing the devil’s work, etc. I knew it was going to happen, but the anti-abortionists outside of this place were ruthless. I understand it though. It’s their beliefs. They wanted to get these planned parenthood places shutdown all across the country. This is something I had to do. I didn’t want to see this evil family carry on, especially not by my hand. I eventually made it inside and I couldn’t have felt more relieved.

…It was an interesting process. Doctor said that I can expect bleeding for 4-6 weeks, but some don’t experience any so, I guess I’ll see what happens to me. Walking out, I experienced the same thing going in. Except I heard more “sinner” than anything. I got back in my car and checked my phone. I had a text from Cindy. It read: “OMG Heather, I just saw your dad’s letter to his news station and that is fucking incredible. Made me cry a little too.” I sent my heartfelt reply. She knew how much my dad meant to me and I’m happy she got to know him even more in the weeks leading up to graduation. Knowing him as she’s older is a lot better than just knowing him from babysitting.

I got home and saw dad’s letter to mom on the counter. I had the time, so I began to open it and read it. I know it’s mom’s letter but I felt I could open it.
