As soon as the recording was over, Tess' shoulders gave way, and her expression became even more tired. He walked to the guardian Simeht, who was watching everything.
βI must return to the Heart immediately,β Pharaoh Tess said.
βMy Pharaoh,β began Simeht βwith all due respect. They threatened your life and only one bomb was found. By our tests, that bomb could destroy a third of the Heart. If there are more of them, you'll be in danger.
βNonsense,β the Pharaoh replied. βI'm already too long here in the Temple. I need to deal with Garreth and my personal affairs.β
βAllow a guardian to accompany you at least.β
The Pharaoh accepted unwillingly and Simeht summoned a new guardian. She wore gold and black armor, leaving only her mouth on display. On each side of her waist, she carried a long sword.
βI am the Guardian Astra,β said the woman; βIt will be a pleasure to protect you, Pharaoh Tess.β
Pharaoh didn't seem impressed at all.
βAstra is our best melee fighter,β Simeht said. βAnd Sorom carried a sword. There is no doubt that Astra is superior to him in every respect. Your safety will be guaranteed.β
βAll right,β replied Tess impatiently. βCan we go back? I'm going to have a lot of work fixing everything that happened.β
βFirst I would like to talk about... my daughter.β Began the leader of the Guardians. βShe's being held hostage by the Chaos Agents. I want to put all our forces against them, but I'm afraid she could end up suffering collateral damage.β
Pharaoh Tess looked confused at Simeht.
βDidn't they warn you? For love, this is not my job...β Tess complained. βWe were able to retrieve security footage from the event, and your daughter was helping the Chaos Agents of her own free will.β
βThat is not possible...β
βI'm going to order someone to send the video to you, but as far as I know she's part of the terrorist group and now I'm finding...β
βBut she is my daughter!β Simeht argued. βShe must be captured at most; lethal force should not be used against her.β
βShe helped with Guardian Dunna's injury! You know he probably won't recover.β Said the angry Pharaoh. βIf she is our enemy, we will respond as such. You should be more like General Sorom, he doesn't mind going against his own family.β
The leader of the Guardians wanted to continue arguing, however Tess was already out of patience and left the Temple with his new security, which observed everything in silence.
They were on a very well-armed convoy to the Ziggurat-City. The Air Temple was about to fly over the city. It was possible to see the majestic abode of God-Computer flying.
It was considerably smaller than the Ziggurat-City, however, by the simple fact of flying, it was a much more magnificent sight. It resembled a gigantic ark, with the underside similar to the keel.
The Pharaoh, however, was not enjoying the view, but rather was eager to return to the Ziggurat. As fast as he could he asked for the status of room 1515.
βIt remains sealed,β replied a guard, βyet there is a hole in the corridor to the top floor, caused by an explosion.β
Tess became increasingly anxious and, as soon as he arrived at the Heart, turned to the Astra Guardian.
βWait for me in my office, I have things to take care of.β
βSir, my job is to ensure your safety. It's not wise for me to abandon you.β
βBut I am the Pharaoh, the voice chosen by the God-Computer. So, follow that voice and wait for me while I deal with a private matter.β
The woman agreed and Tess rushed to room 1515, quickly passing through the two metal doors. There he saw Zizi lying on the floor painting a canvas without technique.
As soon as she saw the scene, Tess sighed with relief and went to the liquor office.
βI need a drinkto relax,β Tess said.
βDid something stressful happen?β Asked Zizi without taking his eyes off the canvas.
Tess looked at her with doubt and then smiled.
βYou're always kidding, aren't you?β Asked Tess βI'm glad you're okay, I was very worried about what they would do to you.β
The woman looked at the abstract art painting and rubbed her face on it, getting dirt with a series of colors.
βNow itβs good!β She said proudly, βitβs ready.β
βAren't you at all curious?β Asked Tess disappointed. βYou heard the explosions for sure.β
βI heard. I also saw when this Sorom talk on tv.β
βWell, I'm just glad you're okay.β
βCould you give me a stun gun?β Asked Zizi without seeming to really care.
Tess looked at her suspiciously.
βYou're not going to use it on the parrot, are you? Well, if that's what's going to make you happy, of course I'll arrange it. Now I need to talk to a certain traitor, see you later.β
She just nodded. Tess, as soon as he finished her drink, he left the room, reuniting with Guardian Astra.
βNow I'm going to talk to the prisoner,β Tess said. "You can come with me, but don't do anything.β
The woman agreed and went with two more Royal Guards to a room with a glass window. Through the window it was possible to see another room, where Garreth was tied up shirtless and full of injuries.
A tall man
