explosive from the deposit?โ€

โ€œDo you keep explosives in that place?โ€

โ€œOnly the ones that expire! It's the ones that usually gives the best results! I'll be waiting for you, don't be late!โ€

The two left and Evelin went to the warehouse. There were several things thrown in a disorganized way, nothing that seemed to have any use. Evelin searched the room looking for Willys' request and ended up finding something else.

A cloth with a design similar to the Chaos Agents banner, but the color was cyan, and the scripture was "Defenders of Harmony". Evelin couldn't hold a laugh thinking that name had been made by Sorom.

...

โ€œI've been looking everywhere for you.โ€

Sorom was startled to hear Evelin's voice. He was sitting on a steel beam looking at the sunset in the Hoan Mountains by the glass dome.

โ€œClearly I didn't hide properly.โ€

Evelin walked to Sorom and noticed that the beam was seven meters above the mountain shore, which made her fear joining Sorom, but she eventually gathered courage and walked up to him, throwing a piece of cloth at the man.

โ€œWhat is this?โ€ Asked Sorom.

โ€œYou answer me,โ€ said Evelin with a malicious smile, โ€œDefender of Harmonyโ€.

Sorom took the cloth and was embarrassed.

โ€œIs that such a bad name?โ€

โ€œIt's not bad, I just didn't expect something so... cute of you.โ€

He picked the cloth and threw it back at Evelin.

โ€œThat's what I wanted to represent at first. Harmony. But it was a very peaceful name, so I created the Chaos Agents instead. I think it represents us better.โ€

The two stood for a quiet moment looking at the sunset.

โ€œThis place is really beautiful.โ€ Said Evelin. โ€œToo bad we're surrounded by radiation.โ€

โ€œWho knows when we take down fate, we can clean up this radiation... Is it too wrong for me to think I don't owe you an apology?โ€

Evelin pondered the question before answering.

โ€œI don't know. I'm still mad by what you did, and I don't know if excuses would do any good. I think Norna's going to want to talk to you about the morality of the Agents.

โ€œI imagine... I just wanted to get this over with. That everyone could start a new life the way they want.โ€

โ€œAnd do you think that only by removing fate will the world become a paradise?โ€

โ€œOf course not, but I know it will be better than it is now.โ€

โ€œA world where people have no destiny... Is that really possible?โ€ Asked Evelin.

โ€œCertainly.โ€ Sorom replied showing his determination.

โ€œHow do you know? Everyone on the planet, when they're 10, gets a destiny. Maybe killing God wonโ€™t change that and destinies will keep showing up.

โ€œI'll tell you how I know. It's my biggest secret. That's how I killed Pardalis and the chosen one without them completing their destinies. I'll show you my destiny.โ€

He raised his arm at the classic sign of revealing destinies, Evelin was waiting for the glyphs to appear and be translated, but nothing happened.

โ€œWhenever you want.โ€ Spoke Evelin impatiently.

โ€œI'm already showing it.โ€ Sorom said looking deep into her eyes.

First the young woman began to get angry; however, upon realizing Sorom's gaze, she was amazed at the whole thing.

โ€œThis is not possible! You're kidding me!โ€ She said not conceiving the ideas that took her mind.

โ€œNot at all.โ€ Replied the leader by lowering his arm.

โ€œYou have no destiny...โ€

He nodded without much emotion.

โ€œBut how?โ€ Asked Evelin impressed. โ€œIt should be impossible!โ€

โ€œIt is a very stupid reason actually.โ€ Began Sorom. โ€œIt's nothing epic or special.โ€

โ€œWhat do you mean? There's no way it's a stupid motive, I've never heard of anyone without a destiny... Are you a robot?โ€

Evelin's question made Sorom laugh.

โ€œHere it goes. When I was going to turn ten, my father organized a big party to celebrate that I would receive a destiny, he was fanatical about these things. At the time, Golbert was working at my house. My father hated the chaotic but ended up "adopting" him. Deep down, he just kidnapped a child and made her work as a slave, thinking it was a good deed.โ€

Evelin couldn't take the eyes of Sorom's during the story and paid as much attention as she could.

โ€œGol and I had already become friends as children, although my father didn't like it very much. Anyway, on the day of the party, I was playing, and I ended up falling into the pool and drowned.โ€

Evelin's expression turned to one of confusion.

โ€œDid you drown? But you're here.โ€

โ€œI was rescued, but my lungs were full of water and my heart had stopped for a time; That was the day I died. Of course, my father rushed and, with the contacts and technologies he had, they managed to resurrect me. My heart beat again, and my brain had not suffered any permanent damage, despite what others might claim.โ€

Sorom shut up, leaving Evelin curious about the story.

โ€œBut what about your fate?โ€

โ€œWell, I died just as I would be ten and receive my fate. When I woke up, there was nothing. The day passed and nothing. After a month my father got mad, thinking I was some kind of anomaly. I stole a gun from him and ran off with Gol before my dad had any crazy ideas.โ€

โ€œWait a minute, you died and, in that time, ended up not receiving your fate? Is that possible?โ€

โ€œApparently yes,โ€ Sorom replied with a smile. โ€œTen more years passed and then I was sure I wasn't going to have a destiny ever. The interesting thing is, I've found that I can influence people's fate. I saved someone who was doomed to die at a specific moment. At that time, I was already creating the Agents with Gol and Norna, but then came the idea of killing the God-Computer and ending destinies.โ€

Sorom could see from the girl's reaction that she was impressed by the story and he smiled victoriously.

โ€œThe leader of the Chaos Agents has no destiny...โ€ Repeated Evelin to herself. โ€œThat doesn't make any sense and at the same time explains so much... Do all the agents know about this?โ€

โ€œOh, no. Just the big ones and a few more, like
