as I spot the SUV parked at the side of the landing strip. My heart stops beating as the driver’s side door opens. Only to find I’m disappointed that the man who steps out isn’t Samuel.

“Where is he?” Stone asks in confusion. We’d told him his dad would be here.

“I don’t know buddy, but I’ll find out.” Giving his hand a small tug, we make our way over to the vehicle. “Where’s Samuel?” I demand.

“Scorch is handling club business and asked that I take you to his house,” the guy responds, giving me a panty melting grin. He must think that works on other women, but it won’t on me.

“What the hell was so important that he couldn’t take an hour to come pick us up?” I snap.

“Like I said babe, club business,” he shrugs, that damn grin still in place. “Come on, let's get you two loaded up and to the Prez’s place. I’ve got shit to do.”

Grumbling under my breath I do my best to keep my temper under control. I know I have a short fuse, but I do my best not to blow up in front of Stone. He’s only ever seen me go off once in his entire life and I’m not about to let it happen again. Not after the way Stone acted for over a week like he was scared of me.

Nope not happening. I’ll just be sure to deal with this bullshit later.

Club business my ass, he’s probably at his little clubhouse getting shit faced instead of facing me.

Fuming, I leave the matter be for right now. It’s not this guy’s fault Samuel is making him do his dirty work.

God, I hate the fact I’d just called Stone and myself dirty work.

Damn him. Why couldn’t he just be here to meet the two of us?

Doesn’t he want to meet Stone?

Shit what if he doesn’t believe our son is his?

Ugh, this is what he does to me. My heart feels like it is going to burst out of my chest. I haven’t felt like this since the day I turned eighteen and said, ‘I Do’.

Internally I give myself a slap to the face. If he didn’t have the balls to meet us, then I’ll find my way to the clubhouse.

And that’s definitely not something he’d want. I’ve been known for being dramatic and destroying things when I get into one of my rants. But if the jerk wants to hide behind the whores then so fuckin’ be it.

“Look lady, we’re not leaving you two unattended. We are under strict orders to keep you here.” The beast of a man snarls getting in my face as I face off with him.

“I don’t give a flying monkey’s ass if you are under orders or not. I’m leaving and that’s final, now get the hell out of my way before I shoot your ass,” I snap. I was livid when Frost picked Stone and I up from the airstrip. Only to become violent when the asshat left me in the care of two ‘Prospects’ claiming they would be the ones to babysit me.

As Frost was leaving, he ordered the two men to not let me out of their sights and if I were to go to the bathroom one was to go outside near the window.

We’d been stuck in this house for five hours and each time I’ve attempted to leave either this dickhead or the other one has stopped me. Seems Samuel hasn’t forgotten about the fact I can escape all sorts of places and isn’t taking chances.

Damn him.

To make matters worse this house was my dream house. Whether he did this subconsciously or not, Samuel had my dream home built.

I’d always wanted a house that sat on the water. Didn’t matter where to me. Long as it had a dock. I’d dreamed of a house with a wraparound porch with a swing in one corner and a patio set in another. Inside I’d wanted it to have five bedrooms. One for us and then the rest for whatever children we’d been blessed with. He’d even had the living room and kitchen built the way I’d told him. I told him it would need to be open so that when it was Christmas morning, we could watch our kids play with their toys while him and I enjoyed each other’s company.

Those dreams were long destroyed but the fact is, here it sits with a dock and all, on the Pasquotank River. My stomach feels as if it were sucker punched.

“Threaten all you want but the moment you reach for your gun is when I tie your ass up. I’m not here to fuckin’ argue with your ass. And if you were my fuckin’ woman, I’d have you over my knee turning that fine ass red,” the guy sneers getting in my face.

Shit, just the thought of the hulking man spanking me shouldn’t be a turn on but damn I don’t remember the last time a man put up a fight against me. Well besides Liam but he doesn’t count.

If it weren’t for the fact my heart will always belong to Samuel, I might’ve jumped this dude and had my wicked way with him. Unfortunately for me, my heart rules my body. Anytime I’ve ever tried to be with another man I’d lose all interest the moment we got in the bedroom.

You know that saying about men who ruin women for other men? Yeah that’s true. My body will not allow another man to fuck me or even touch me. Shit, I’m lucky to get off using my fingers or BOB.

Without saying a word, I turn on my heel and storm away from the dickhead who won’t allow me to pass.

Fine Samuel, you want to play it this way? I’m going to call for reinforcements. Going into the living room I flop down on the couch next to Stone.

“Hey baby. How do you feel about calling Aunt Demi?” I ask my son.

Grinning, my
