Black Panthers
What happened to the Black Panthers? Why do they not exist today in the world that we live in now? Where are they now that we need them the most? I hope that all that they did was not in vain to a certain point in their history. I went to a reunion of some sort for the Black Panthers and I was not pleased at all with what I saw and what I heard. I heard how they started and how they did things to the point that they left marks that were left behind as a historic stamp, but I did not hear anyone say why that they had to end. You see this was probably a plot by the so called white race to end what was a good thing for the black community. We talk all this shit about what we done and what we have made and what the world will remember us by, but we have not done a damn thing yet. You see when you start something of that magnitude you have to keep it alive and well into the next century. Why can’t we as black folks learn and when will we learn that we have to stand up against white America and let them know that we will not be moved. I can tell you what I think that ought to be done and that is to start a new black panther party to let them (White America) know that we will not be defeated in any way form shape or fashion. I do not know to much about the whole political back ground of the black panthers but I do know that they were that thing that we needed and we still need them today. If you can just look around and see that all of our black children are in need of guidance and we are not helping them in any way. The kids are so grown till they are telling the parents what they are not gonna do and so forth. This should not be and I know for a fact that this is not the way that this thing should be going down. So what can we do to correct this thing that has grown out of control and has passed that buck on and on to other races as well? I do not know but I do know that we need to stand up as a race and take back what we lost and all that the white devil has taken in. People always say there is a lot to do and why don’t you jump start it and get others involved as well. First there has a to a person who has a passion and I mean a real passion for wanting to go to the front line to stand up against the white race and say we have had enough of your bullshit and we are not gonna stand for anymore of your schemes to try to hold us back. We have been put so far back and I mean far back till we can’t see what is ahead for us. We as a black race have to stand together and get our asses out of the sky and get the shit done. We are dying and I mean daily dying of starvation, so called poverty, education, employment, and the list goes on and on. I do not want to say that we do not have the resources cause we do, but the so called black leaders that we have they are not real leaders because they are still not leading but trying to follow the white man to where he is going and to get what he has and that is hurting us. I have mentioned before that there are leaders that are digging ditches and they should be in the lead and then there are those that are in lead should be digging ditches. Are you really feeling what I’m saying, this hurts just to think about what we have and all that our ancestors fought for. And where is all this now, is in the grave with our ancestors. I hear the old panthers say power to the panther party and let the spirit live on in the panther party, but fuck that, show up and show out like you all did back then. We are having the same problems today that we had yesterday. This is in my own words and how I feel about what I see and what I hear daily.
