Tears of mine

I want to close my eyes
to this hurt that hides.
It hides so close to my heart
and it will hurt,
when it finds that crack you left.
I have nothing inside because of your unholy theft.
It burrows close, this hurt or mine.
It's so close, I have no time.
It fills every crack and hole,
I don't think I will ever be whole.
I close my eyes to these tears of mine.
These tears that threaten to spill and no longer hide.
I wrap my self in my own arms
and block out the feelings that harms.
I feel so numb inside.
I need these tears of mine,
they remind me that I am alive.
These tears of mine come to life
spilling over the barrier of lashes
making a path in the ashes.
My heart was set afire
and I'll burn alive forever.
I need a sign.
I need these tears of mine.
