I AM NOT THERE

Opposites attract and we found each other.
Our personalities are so very different.
I am shy while you are outgoing.
I express myself while you hold it in.

We appeared to work so well together,
We brought out the best in each other.
You proved you had a sole,
And I popped my bubble.

Troubles came and our friendship is gone,
I was left broken while you turned back time.

My bubble turned to a wall,
Your sole turn to a clown.

Alone I can break my wall.

But your costume can never be ripped.
You froze out the person you needed.
I wanted to help you, but now you are alone.

Lonely Swings

Alone, with two swings.
Metal, so cold, sitting in your hand.
Wind, warm, moving the empty seat.
Smiling faces, playing without you.
Giggles that flow past.

Two children and one open swing.
Two kids with no friends.
One kind smile that spreads into two.

Together, with no more swings.
Metal, now warmed with friction.
Wind, cool, as you sway back and forth.
Smiling faces, enjoying the other.
Giggles joined together with two new friends.

Memories

A cloudy blue sky,
dry brown grass, yellow hay,
dusty barns, colorful coats.

Rough sandy ground,
wet mushy mud, soft sweaty fur,
hard rope, smooth warm leather.

Blatant fear, swift movements.

Fresh water, clean air,
precipitation,
wet hay, nature.

Cars rushing by, calls of the bird,
wickers and whinnies,
gates screeching, shouts of a teacher,
and salty sky tears.

A memory from a stable, for all to hear.

NOW THAT I HAVE

It is said that love is hard,
You have made it difficult.

It hurts to hate,
It stings to love.

When we met,
my mind was a Jumble
I wanted to be with you.
You made my heart ache,
You were my life.

Now I can see,
that you are my pain
And there is nothing
I can take to make you
Dissipate.

I have to do it on my own,
force you from my life.
And now that I have
I am happy.

MidNightMare

Twilight starts to fall, and the creatures come out to play.
I sit on my perch- a corner of your room,
quite and still- a corps in its tomb.
I AM WAITING FOR YOU!

Darkness has come, and the creatures are heading your way.
They stalk you in your car,
as you leave drunk from a bar.
I AM WAITING FOR YOU!

The lights are off, and the creatures are here to stay.
In your sleep they attack your dreams,
as I watch, I cackle, drinking in your screams.
I HAVE COME FOR YOU!

Sunlight begins to rise, and the creatures must go away.
Your breathing is hard as you lie in bed.
The nightmare that is I stuck in your head.
I AM ALWAYS WITH YOU!

Daylight is my weakness,
Midnight is my magic.

Words I write, never utter

it is all gone now
the mindless batter of flirting
the snide comments said in a sweet way
the romantic verses that made my heart flutter

i no longer get to feel it
how the sight of your name forces me to smile
how the simplest things make my cheeks burn
how no matter what you made me brave

i have to move on
forget about how you make me feel
erase the memories i share with you
act like nothing ever happened

it is painful to reflect
and even worse to forget…

I LOVE YOU!!!

Me Is All I Can BE

It is always the shy that are pegged as a bitch
The blond that are said to be dumb
The big chested made into sluts
And the short tagged as annoying

My chest is a D added with double
My hair is blond as my eyes are blue
My personality is shy and my size is petite

I smile at those who grimes at me
I keep in what most put out
I can do math so long as I try
And I annoy others as they annoy me

I am no stereotype
The same as many others

I can only be me
Just as your eyes can only see
What your mind wants me to be.

A Jar to a Tomb

Bottled up and
Sealed in tightly

No one see’s it and
Nobody knows it

Freed only in the privacy of my chambers
And recaptured not long after

Just the other day
It escaped from its jar and
attacked three good people

I hid myself away
A slave to my creature
Scrambling for breath

Until I was saved

I reentered the room
Awkward and ashamed
I stare blankly at the TV

My insides are now empty
The monster is no longer there

It is time to start over
the jar now a steal plated tomb

Flirtatious Fighting

Is it fighting?
Is it flirting?
Do we like each other?
Or are we just passing the time?

It is a rude comment,
backed with a sweet smile.
It is a snide sentence,
aside a laugh out loud.

I say β€œI hate you”
Do I mean β€œI enjoy being with you”?
He says β€œYou’re weird”
Does he mean β€œYou’re just my type”?

It is impossible to tell.
My head hurts like hell.
I am thinking of quitting.
But my heart tells me no,
I am not ready to let go.

Are we flirting or are we fighting?

It Is

It is fear of Jumping,
It is fear of Falling
It is fear of getting hurt

It is irrational
It is unavoidable

It is something you want
But fell you don’t deserve

It can be strong
It can be week

It will lead to crying
Tears of joy, tears of sorrow
It is up to you to decide

It is never to be forgotten
And it is always there

The Jump

Like a baby bird, ready to leave its nest,
adrenaline surges through veins of new born necessity.
The feeling of want, mixed with the knowledge of need,
Such passion, paired with savage hunger brings only the best.

Some come across it only once, while others see it every day.

The loneliness that once plagued the heart and mind now gone.
A once cold palm begins to warm as another hugs it tight.
Fear of an empty spot on the bed teeters, ready to slim away,
Yet may not fall until the chick is ready to jump.

But do not be afraid

For a heart who knows no fear,
Shall never jump without another.

The Start

When one sole meets another,
When two eyes lock together,
When separate minds join as one,
You know its magic has begun.

FAMILY!

What is family?

Family will be there to pick you up when you are down,
No matter if you smile or frown.

If a bump in the night gave you a fright,
Or if it is puking through the night.

Even if it is a week day,
Or a week end, they will help you.

If it is a sickness…
Staying up all night.

They will be there day and night.
They will stay with you till the end.

Now you know what a family is.

LOVE!

Do you really know what love is?
Is it really what you think?
Or could it be more?

Love is more than passion for one person.
Friends can give it to another.
Love is a friendship.
Love is something waiting to happen.

So when you say you have no love,
Are you really speaking the truth?
Or is love a shadow lurking right behind you?

Everyone has love.
Not from a girl or boy,
But from a friend.
For that is what true love is…

Love is probably beside you.

I know it is there

I never have flown,
I never tried;
Yet know I how it works,
And what it is like.
I never have swam,
Nor floated
Yet certain am I, it really is there.

Romance to Romance

Romance is everywhere,
but it seems to avoid me.

I see lovers loving and
soul mates kissing
I watch movies with that guy,
the one who does everything right.

It is in books and poems,
pictures and plays, movies and songs,
and even in a routine day.

And yet I find, that here I stand,
without one lover and doubts of an admirer.
I wish and hope, waiting for him to arrive.
But with every waking moment my dreams disappear.

I want that perfect guy; I pray he is out there,
but even so I seem to know,
he will never come and share –
himself with me or even the rest of the world.

Broken

I was caged,
chained to my
own bones

A prisoner to myself
and those around me.

Tied to a leash
and forced to follow.

misery and anger
bottled up inside.

I stand for it no more
my bounds broken
my spirit set free

I am my own person
I do as I say
I go as I want

No more will I pout
cry over spilt milk

Freedom is to now
as
captivity is to never.

Passion

Like the moon needs the sun,
So it can light up the skies.
-
Like Shadows need the moon,
So they can test the eye for fear.
-
Like the earth needs gravity,
So its inhabitance stay grounded.
-
Like the sun needs planets,
To remind it that it is never alone.

---

My passion is my sun,
Lighting the way of my heart.
-
My passions creates shadows,
To make sure I can pass.
-
My passion is gravity,
Keeping my mind on track.
-
I am my passions planets,
Revolving around it.

---

If I have no passion,
I must not be me.

PRESENT TURNS TO PAST

In the darkness of the night,
With the light of the moon,
I make my way.

Through Uncharted waters,
And over slippery rocks,
My journey Begins.

With dreams in my past,
And ideas for my future,
My life takes form.

The road up front is scary,
The figures behind are sad,
Real tests have begun.

Some days will be sad and lonely,
Others will be full and tiresome,
I will push though it all.

The future promises happiness,
But the past does too,
I do not know which to chose.

I can go no where but up,
But this level feels just right,
My heart is torn in two.

The time to chose is here,
Both options are tempting,
I must pick what feels right.

Up I go, past the clouds,
Over the moon,
And though the stars

Up
