Yawning awake on a sultry morning
Stretching your limbs to the limit
You roll over and peer out the window
The day is calling you warmly
Birds are scolding you to rise and enjoy
Breezes caress your cheek and lull you into a day-dream
Basking on a sandy beach, under a startling sun
Voices of children playing in the neighborhood dissolves the tableau
Your gaze again drifts to the window
A nest in a tree
Everything to so new and beautiful
A wonder in itself. never ceasing to amaze
How life bursts forth from the froze wasteland of winter
You roll onto your back with a sigh;
resigned to finally rise
Your only thought now is
I hope its Saturday
