Sleeping Vision

This morning on waking I had the memory of a
pleasurable illusion, and a sensation of lightness
in my in my heart.

Aware of this made my day take wings, as if I was
expecting a surprise.

Questioning whether my mind could once again
capture the thoughts of the previous night
and lift me into that valley of dreams.


Evening brought about a new anticipation
as I heard the clock ticking ,
my heart beating to the same rhythm.


With my head resting on pillows of down
cheerfully closing my eyes to slip off
to a fantasy land to return to the realm of
dreams.
As far as I could behold the vale
emerald green, spread out in front of me
endlessly.


Observing the trees with limbs outstretched
and draped in billowing soft colors of voile
swaying, and casting a patchwork shadow on the ground.
Beyond lies a stream cutting and snaking through
this valley.


With cobalt waters flowing allowing vapors to
escape, wafting up into the atmosphere.

Forming exquisitely heady loving words
to speak to my soul.
I want to dwell in this imagining.
