Charity

Charity begins at home
I hear people say
Others think charity
Is some place far away?
There is always charity
When devastation strikes
Charity can and will
Make the heart feel right
America gives charity
To many other countries
Even though they don't like us
Culturally or politically
Many just give charity
Around the holidays
Giving need to people
To brighten up their day
Some never heed the charity call
Helping someone out no matter how small
Most Americans do a lot of giving
Many appreciate the lives they are living
Take care of your own
That is surely your priority
But those that still give
Have a heart that the world should see

CHILDREN ALONE

Who’s going to take care of the children
The ones left in the orphanages and on the street
The ones without love the ones we can not see
All children need love and God’s grace
Who will take care of the children in this earthly place?
So many children left alone in the dark
No one to love them no one to calm their heart
Too many children wandering life alone
Their sprit is breaking without a loving home
Children thrown aside for one reason or another
Many don’t know their fathers or mothers
Children abandoned here and in every land
Love for these children is God’s command
So to them that leave them crying and out of breath
Someday you will stand before God, He will not forget

Closer to the truth

Possibilities are endless
If you take that leap of faith
The mind creates illusions
Of all the moves you’ve made

In all of your dreams
Living life with regret
Time can be the healer
Or pull you farther apart

Everyday the future
Is getting closer to the truth
You may wake up tomorrow
To what you’re going to lose

Our life had a beginning
That will come to an end
We could love this life
Or live on memories

For us to have a future
You have to catch it while we are awake
All those mischances
Life’s rewards we can’t partake

Damaged Sphere

What’s kind of planet will be here
In a hundred years or more
Can science see the future?
Are they just grasping straws?

Will this world be a place?
My grand kids can live in
Could it be the end of man?
Or maybe a new beginning

Did we change this atmosphere?
From all that left this earth
Is it like some cancers
Gone too far to reverse

Some still fill their pockets
Their conscious has no reality
Money controls this planet
Till we no longer cease to be

We may damage our living sphere
But we will never completely destroy
When this earth is through with us
Something else will fill the void

Fall

Fall has come
As the grayness begins
Summer is only a memory
That only lies within

Leaves have turned color
Under the shade we used to sit
Gone are the birds
On the branches they used to sing

Cold air beginning
To harden the ground
Everything around
Is a little more brown

Summer attire
Has been put away
A little more cover is needed
On beautiful fall days

Creatures are gathering
As they prepare to sit tight
Until warm sun rays
Wake them up from their night

Every season is beautiful
To someone it seems
But fall leads to winter
I can't wait for spring

For Us All

Although I believe in my Christianity
Public officials serve all in this pot
Government is not my spiritual leader
Whether they like it or not
If any religion is put at the top
And is trying to force it's will
How are we any different
Then the Arabs in the third world
The spiritual leaders tell them what to do
And they follow without any pause
We the people in America
Need a country that's for us all
I believe we need God
And all the different places to pray
Religious leaders should stay out of politics
Politicians should stay out of religions way
We are a nation of many
And the constitution is our law
Keep religion in your own life
But don't force what you believe on us all

Freedom on attack

In New York City
Two towers stood tall
With an act of terrorism
They were fireballs
In an instance
They tumbling on down
Many died that day
Their souls were Heaven bound
Liberty and freedom
This nation was found
It won't stop
With two towers coming down

They can bomb our buildings
Tear them apart
They can't stop liberty and freedom
That's in our hearts
Today and always
Our country stands tall
Waving flags of freedom
From shore to shore
We the people
Will always stand as one
For our freedom
Till the battle is won

An act of violence
Against our society
America stands together
For all the world to see
They can run
But they can't hide
America will find them
With God by our side
This is America Red, white, and blue
That old flag of glory
Waves for me and you

The stars and stripes
Embedded in this cloth
That beautiful flag
Had many cost
This flag will always wave, never fear
Many die for this symbol
Many shed their tears
Let's never forget
The ones that came before
America that shinning light
Will always endure
With a little help
From our neighbors and friends
We will stomp out terror
For what's righteous
Not just for revenge

GOOD CHARLEY

I left this little town
For some other place
So that i can follow my dreams
My heart is never far from thee

I miss those summer nights
Where it's not so bright
Where life can slows down
And you see stars at night

All around this town
Everyone a friend
When I walk around
I'm on solid ground
My name is Good Charley
My heart is always in this town

Even when I'm away
I carry this town around
I will never stray too far
This town is my heart

All the roads I travel
No matter what I've learned
You always feel alone
When you’re disconnected from home
My mind is always clear
When I come back to this town
My name is Good Charley
This is where my memories are found

Good Karma

As you pass
Good karma along
May only good happen
As you walk this world
You have that special spirit
They can feel that caring vibe
Your presents is touched with love
You can see it in your eyes
To know someone like this
Gives me joy and pride
Everything you touch
May not turn to gold
Only because certain things
Are out of your control
I accept your good karma
A present from a friend
And use that wonderful gift
To send it on again

Happy we’ve met

I see myself changing in the mirror
Remembering what I used to be
I have more past behind me
Than I have future ahead

I am happy with my reflection
And the life I have lead
Changes in my lifestyle changes in my mind
Another day to dream
Until I am caught by Father Time

I have more memories now
Then the ones I’m going to get
The time I have for my future
Is slowly starting to set

Living better thinking better
Illusions to keep time at bay
I look back to who I used to be
And today I am happy that we met

So I will live each day
Like I always have
My days weren't all perfect
In all they weren’t that bad

He Made Heaven My Home

Life has many detours
Seems everywhere we turn
I know in my heart
Jesus will lead me home again
When all things look gloomy
Like the storm is coming in
I just look at my Savior
To chase the clouds away
Because I am faithful
And live by His word
And my life has passion
Only to serve
Because He loves me
He made Heaven my home
Then there are times
When life just sings along
I thank Him for His blessing
And for His guiding light
Because He loves me
He made Heaven my home

He has no trouble now

Here lies my uncle
There was no finer man
He was not just family
Herman was my friend

He has always said
He had the greatest life
A wife that loved him
And kids that made him proud

Herman loved everyone
Whoever you were
He lived life to its fullest
There are two lessons there

I heard him on the radio
Talking about sports teams
We know he liked dancing
And a beer or two it seems

He never drove a car
He walked almost everywhere
I guess he won’t have any trouble
When he’s climbing Heavens stairs

There will be people waiting
With open wings and a kiss
They will be happy to see him
The man we will always missed

Holiday Seasons
All holiday seasons
They seem to just rush by
Hanukkah, and Christmas
They leave as fast as they arrived

Every now and then
They arrive on the same day
One the miracle of oil
One the world He saved

Hanukkah one day of oil
Lasted for eight days
Christmas we celebrate
God’s love and saving grace

Both holidays are rich
With the stories
