Dream Weaver

A trickling of the spirit
Flowing and swaying
Misty and faint
Purity of mind and soul

Glowing in the dark, a light, pulsating
The spirit shows its own true form
The being that lies within
Hidden from the world surrounding

A mask that concealed its life
Cloven, on the floor
Disappears into the blackness
Ebbing around the gathering of matter

Threads pass to and fro
Forming a reality misshapen by desire and yearning
Now creating that held in the heart
Existence becomes real, death becomes fate

Casting about the spell of endless time
No counting can frame in this power
Living in a mysterious dream
Walking about unheard and unseen

I am the Dream Weaver
I live for my own
None can end the beauty of my magic
My spirit, none shall change

Until the day one enters my realm
And claims my sacred treasure
I shall rule in loving happiness
Creating a world of dreams

Snow

A blanket of cold envelops
the pine forest, behind the white cottage
beneath a chilling veil.

Jack bites nose, ears, skin, unguarded by wool.
Frost donned by every blade of grass, leaf, twig,
Crunch, crunch, crunch...

Hypothermic water slides over ice shields coating rocks.
Tiny, white, crystalline flakes float like fairies
from the billowing, grey swells above,
sprinkling their snow dust atop needled limbs;
concealing pines in Winter sameness.

Crystals of varying disguise - frozen in time,
melt on hot breath, glisten on the frosty fence,
insulating the fragile babes of spring.
Blinding all with the Suns’ intense beauty.

Thicker they fall, cascading through wind currents,
tumbling down high pressure waves,
the more they obscure the distant hills and crests.
Forcing shelter to be sought against the perilous cries
of ghosts, preserved in it’s glacial embrace.

Lost

The mist of uncertainty enshrouds me again
The deep well of night and mood
His sword pierced my gut long days before
I utter a sigh, the fall of Rome
As I lay there dying from the inside out
I’m haunted by a shadow of fear and doubt
Is it fear of future or something lost, unknown?
Imagining this pain, it’s not really real
Don’t take my words for divine truth
Why? Why? What? Why?
Leave me alone!
Leave my mind at rest!
Stop badgering, hassling me!
I want quiet, stillness, peace
I want to hold your hand, and not ramble about
Mistakes, misuse and my own misperception
To be consumed by your strength of pure heart
Eradicate these ghostly thoughts
I want to be us.

What is Music?

Music
Flowing between the thoughts
Expression without words
A creation to be interpreted

Many meanings for a single phrase
Lyrical or rhythmical
Variations of a single mind
A joy in which ever way you choose

To be made in the quiet morn
Or the dead of night,
The bustle of the crowd
Or the excitement of rare delight

To entertain or to amuse
To accompany or stand alone,
And shine above the rest
To show off or cowardly descend

It’s a feeling which grows
And must be expressed
Growing and growing
Till it explodes with emotions or sound

Filling the arena with passion,
Love, hate
Movement of moods
Explaining the feeling of joy or sadness within

It’s there with you where ever you are
To be seen or just heard
Or thought of for the first time
It’s music, it’s within you.

Never ending time.

Untried Questions

The gully is filling with fog
As the sky is darkened by clouds
Rain is promised by god
As the thunder rumbles the ground

The trees sway in the wind
As the storm approaches the land
The chance of survival is slim
As lightening strikes where you stand

And you ask the lord why
Haven’t you been faithful to him?
You look to the sky
And begin to cry

Lord I’ve tried
Praising your word every day
Lord I’ve tried
Helping you in every way

I plant the trees in your name
And I give thanks before every meal
I know things don’t remain the same
But does time do nothing but steal

I live for you
I’m indebted to your love and peace
But it’s faded, the colours hue
I’m no longer free like the flying geese

I’ll spread your good will
Asking nothing in return
But for peace in mind
And a blessing over those who pray for your return

Sky, Star

Trees sway, leaves rustle
Sun sinks, darkness falls
Stars twinkle, stars fall
Sky glows, moon shines

The Sky found his Star
Holds her close so she won’t fall
She twinkles the brightest

Birds chirp, sun rises
Dew drips, fog fades
Critters creep, airs fresh
Sky brightens, clear day

The Sky shines, pinned high above
His Star sleeps, holding him tightly so he won’t fall
He lights the earth the brightest

They shine together, with loving hearts
Beating together, though distance sets them apart
But Skies and Stars belong together forever!

Sonnets

Sonnet #1

The sunlight shines upon the forest floor
Wind blows the leaves on the trees back and forth
The soil travels far from way up north
A gateway passes, a carved wooden door

The rivers trickle down the mountain pass
Carving faces into the stony ridge
Trees have fallen, forming a natural bridge
Growing wild, sleeping amongst the grass

The one to travel these lands unguarded
Climbing mountains, swimming rivers, searching
The peace within not worth a life’s lurching
Finds them selves to be the open hearted

The fated may look, the chosen will find
Two pieces they are, bringing peace to mind

Sonnet #2

Does Sunlight shine upon the forest floor?
Should wind blow the leaves of trees back and forth?
Your smile shines like the sunrise up north
So beautiful my eyes divert to yours

The rivers trickle down the mountain pass
Carving your face into the stony ridge
Your heart so strong, forming a natural bridge
Growing wild, you sleep amongst the grass

The one to travel your lands unguarded
Climbing mountains, swimming rivers, searching
The soul within to be your true hearted

Love cannot be made; you’re the one to find
The eyes of your heart, bringing peace to my mind

What is Love

A being of warmth - a soul,
Blank of experience.
I breathe sweet life into
the start of her beginning.

Through all
