The windows are veiled in a film of
steam.


Opening the door strolling out,
to enter this wetness and become a
sponge.
I feel the water kissing my
skin
inviting this liquid to engulf my
body.
I reject the umbrella to feel the
water
cavorting in my hair forming soft
curls.
The streets are shiny like glass,
and all around me
I witness a wreath of
emeralds.
I inhale the blessed gift of green damp
freshness, in the earth’s perfume this night.
