Emma’s P.O.V

I sit in last period then the phone rings. The Mrs. Mohagan, my teacher picks up the phone seconds later she about drops it. She slowly hangs up the phone and turns to me.

“Emma. You are wanted at the office. I will let them tell why.” her voice sounded like she was going to cry. I walked to the office where I saw everyone was there the principle, the counselor, and two policemen. I could see the schools bad boy Mason sitting on a chair in the back room. Looking back at the two policemen I say “Hello” out of the corner of my eye I see that Mason has snapped his gaze to me.

“Emma,” The black hair policeman said catching all of my attention. “Your mother was killed in a car accident later this afternoon.” My knees grew weak. I felt like I was going to fall I look at everyone around looking for a joke. Even Mason face was shocked. I look down at the floor and start to back away. I grab the door frame for support to turn when I had turned just enough and ran as fast as I could into the cold. The wind bit my face. I ran to the park that was right next to the school. It was a place that my mother would take me every time something bad happened. By the time I reached the park my eyes had gone blurry with tears. Before I could reach any equipment I fell to my knees and sobbed into my hands.

Masons P.O.V

The office is the stupidest place to be, yet again I'm going to it. I walk in the door. It just so happens that the principle Mr. Jones is there. “What did you do now,” he said to me.

“ I called Mr. Marcy an old fat bastard.”  he looks at me like when are you just going to stop.

“Of course you did.” he rubbed his temple. He sat me in a chair in the back room, a room that I have been in so many times that I know the dimensions of it. A few seconds later two policemen show up and talk to the principle. A phone call is made and the counselor is here. Ms. May, the secretary picks up the phone and dials another number.

“Ms. Keen can you send Emma down the office there are two policemen wanting to speak to her.” I had a confused look on my face. What could Emma had done to be spoken to by the police. “It seems that there has been an accident.”

“Hello” My eyes snapped to the girl who spoke. She looks at the policemen “Emma” the man with black hair said, “Your mother was killed in a car accident later this afternoon.” My eyes widened. I watched at Emma’s chest started to rise and fall faster with each breath. She looked like she was going to fall which put me on my toes. At that moment I felt attached to her, I felt like she was my savior, like I actually liked her enough to kiss her and bring her to my embrace. Emma took off running towards the front doors before I could blink she had disappeared.  The policemen tried to go after her but Mr. Jones stopped them “we all mourn in our own ways” he said “hers is to run away from the pain” his voice was bubbly. “I’ve had enough of this,” I said to myself. I walked quietly to the window and unlatched it. Slowly pushing open the window I slip through just in time to see Emma. She had great speed. She runs to the park and collapses to the ground.

Emma’s P.O.V
I hear the crunch of the park's gravel as someone walks on it and I’m quick to wipe away the tears. “You don’t have to.” His voice rings through my head. Mason. What was he doing here? I turned around and looked at him “Go away. I will not be told what to do by you! I will not bow down to your every will! Now leave me alone.” I started walking out of the park.

“Where are you going?” he asked following me.

“Home.”

“You're not driving.” he threw back

“Like hell.” I got to my car and opened the door but it only went an inch and soon as it opened it closed. Masons hand had stopped it from opening any further. “Please. Please” I said through sobs. “Get your hand off my god damn door mason! I want to go home!” I yelled at him while turning around. “You are prick, you don’t care about anyone but yourself, and you are only here because you feel sorry for me! She was the only one I had left Mason! The only one!” Tears were swimming in my eyes.

“You are not driving.” I hit his chest but he didn’t budge so I hit it again. With the second hit, he wrapped his arms around me pulling me close. “Stop.” I sodded “Just let me be” His arm snaked around my waist while the other hand was on the back of my head as i sank to the ground with him. After a few minutes I heard people walking by and snickering. That was the signal that school was over. I slowly pulled back. His hand slides from my head to my face. His eyes had pain and lust in them.WAIT! LUST! I couldn't believe it. His thumb wipes over my cheek riding the last tear that had fallen. We stare into each other's eyes his the color of burnt honey. They're such a beautiful color. What caught my eyes was his lips twitching then he smiled, like a genuine smile. I froze. His smile, his arms, the way he had his hand on my face made me melt inside. I giggled a little and his smile grew.

"What?," he asked almost laughing

"You should smile more often." I told him smiling back at him "I like it" he looked down in embarrassment while shaking his head. He stood up bringing me with him  then he looked back at me.

“I will smile more often if you laugh more and…..” he paused for a second  “and be my girlfriend.”

“You want to date me? I...I can’t”

“Why not?” I tried to walk away but he grabbed my waist causing me to stop.

“Please.” he said in a begging tone

“I already told you! I can’t!”

“Give me three good reasons why.” his hands squeezed a little.

“Because I will never be like any of the other girls, I am an emotional wreck all the time!” tears were flowing again. “And I know you! You will see someone different and leave me in the dust!” he looked shocked. “Do you know how much my reputation of a quiet, hardworking girl will get tarnished if I hook up with the schools bad boy! How my mother would have thought!” He looked down and then at me.

“I’ll change. I promise I will. If it means I get you,  I’ll do it.” He brought me closer and laid his fore head against mine while I put my hands on his chest trying to keep distance. He looked at me through his lashes. ”Please. Just give me a chance.”

Mason’s P.O.V

I liked this girl. To tell you the truth I think Im in love with her. Her beautiful brown hair to her green eyes to every where else. I just feel like shit cause I never noticed her till her mom died. “Stupid Idiot.” I tell myself. I bring her closer and put my fore head on hers. “Please. Just give me a chance.” she looks shock for a moment but then relaxes. I can see the wheels turning inside her head about the pros and cons, and stuff like that. She was in deep consentration which made her look sexy. Then the wheels just stop as she pulls her head away from mine. She looks into my eyes. Her hands slowly travel from my chest to my face. Im in a deep trans. She glances down at my lips then back to my eyes. It gave me all I needed to know. She pulls our faces closer together and then her lips brush against mine. I know for a fact that my answer is a yes and Im loveing this answer. I kiss her and she kisses back. I gently bite her lower lips requesting entry and to my suprise she gives it.  It’s a passionate kiss and it makes me want more. I back her up against her car and kiss her more but deeper.

Emma P.O.V

My mind was every where but I had my answer. I moved my hands from his chest to his cheeks. Gently I pulled his face to mine and brush my lips against his. I had him in my little trans. His eyes never left mine. The kiss slowly turned into a passionate one. The next thing i know im backed up agianst my car and mason is kissing be hungrier than before. I break the kiss sooner than i wnat to. Confusion is all over mason’s face.

“I have to go home”

“But theres nobody there,” he coundn’t hide any thing when hes with me. “I won’t let you go”

“Nothings going to happen to me” I smiled

“Im still not letting you go there”

“ you are so freakin stoburn” I said looking into his eyes. A smile appeared on his lips. I loved it when he smiled.

I push him back agianst the car next with mine while giving him one last kiss. “I’ll see you tomarrow. When i left his arms he looked lost for a second.
