All she can remember is she’s walking. She doesn’t know where she was going, or why. At the sound of movement behind her, her pace quickened, as well as her heart beat. She began to move faster and faster, trying to get away from whatever was chasing her. She risks a glance back and her feet trip over something. The last thing she sees is a flash of red.
She jolts awake when she feels someone touch her head. Her eyes focus to a boy. He looked to be about her age, maybe older. He smiled. Her breathing hitches in her throat It was Him. He was who she was running from. She tries to get away, but he grabs her by her waist. “I almost lost you.” He pulls her to his chest as he inhales her scent. She stops struggling as warmth cascaded throughout her body. She relaxed in his arms and nuzzled her head in his chest. She didn’t know what she was doing, wasn't she just trying to get away from him? He pulled away slowly and she whimpered softly. She didn't want him to leave. “I just want to look at you”, he assured her. She shifted under his gaze. Her heart was pounding. But why? She didn’t even know this guy. His mouth formed the most amazing smile she had ever seen. “You’re beautiful.” She blushed, as she looked down. He quickly reached over and lifted her head. “Do you know who I am?” She slowly shook her head, her eyes meeting his. “Do you know who you are?” She closed her eyes for a brief second. Strange. She couldn't remember her name. She couldn't remember anything. What was going on. She shook her head again, her eyes widening. His eyes softened, “It’s ok.” He held his hand out to her and she hesitantly took it. He pulled her back to him slowly and wrapped his arms around her. A tear trickled down his cheek as he laid his head on hers. She didn't remember anything. Not herself. Not him. He loved her. She probably forgot that, too.
