Edward Rousseau is a young, fresh new bachelor who's fiancΓ©e ran away with another man. One day he sees Jane Blood, a beautiful woman with whom he shares an attraction. Jane isn't all she seems, though. She's intent on becoming the most beautiful woman in the world, and she'll do anything for it, even going so far as to beseech Aphrodite.
