This is a monologue I wrote about suicide and depression for my Drama assessment last year. I first tried to find a monologue on the internet to do but I didn't like any of them and they weren't long enough so I started puting bits and pieces of different monologues together and showed my teacher. She thought it was too dark for school so I changed it to be more upbeat and with hope and here it is.
Sometimes I wonder, If I killed myself right now, Would you even care? Or would you blow me off like every other person. If I killed myself right now, Would you come to help me?
When the educated youth faced unemployment shattering their hopes, what is required is the self-confidence that could take them forward. When faced with the choice of choosing between a man who leans on her, and the one who stands on his own - whom does a girl choose for a life partner?
There is so many problems running through baileys head, and some of them are so unpleasent, thoughts of killing people, thoughts of sex, and thoughts of suicide, the question is which will she do first?
This is still a work in progress!!!! Please give me feedback on it so far so I can improve it.
Amaranda and Becky are the best of friends. They aren't pretty, or popular, they are ridiculed by everyone they come in contact with. What happens when two innocent girls reach the point of no return?
