slowly; “Very good, killing of my guards like that. I was looking for some way to replace them.” She wore a long red dress that looked expensive. Her darker colored eyes looked fierce and evil. More evil than Benrook’s. Long blond hair flowed down her back. “Now, tesoro-”

“Don't call me that. I am not your ‘Honey’” I interrupt. She moves closer to me trying to take me off guard with her attractiveness.

“I was warned of your arrival. So we were prepared for you. And yes, we know your skill. We know John’s skill. We just had to find the men that matched your skill and you did the rest.”

“How did you-”

“We have people.” She turns to the guards. “Take the big one to the dungeon. I want a word with the kid.” The guards walk away with Johnny. I worried about his fate. Would they torture him? “I can tell you're worried about him, I would be too if my best friend was taken by one of the most powerful families in the world.”

“Powerful? In che senso?”

“You think trying to hurt us with your words is going to help you in the situation, idiota?”

“I-” I was interrupted by a sudden explosion around us. Knocking me off my feet. My eyes begin to dim and I black out,

ERROR! DATE NOT FOUND! ERROR!

“FOOL, You are a fool to come here, Cristofano! You have caused me too much trouble, TOO MUCH! Now you must DIE!” Benrook screams, this was the final problem. The problem to end all problems, the day he would die.

August 13 1446 Part 2 The Breakout

This was my chance, I awaken from the blackout and spot Benrook’s wife lying on the floor. Surely dead, I didn't have the time to check her pulse. I was too worried about Johnny to care. The stairs they took him down caught my eye. I run down them swiftly reaching the dungeon. The first thing I spot is the amount of guards guarding his cell.

Very well, I rip out my mace and dagger, ready to attack. I charge at them and begin to kill. Little to no time passed until the guards were all killed. They were weaker than expected.

“Cristofano!” Johnny shouts surprised by my presence.

“What happened to the tough guards?” I ask Johnny.

“They went on break. Good fighting!”

“Grazie”

“Now get me the hell out of here.”

“The guards must have the chiavetta, I'll go look for it.”

I first started by searching the bodys for it, nothing. I searched every place I could, nothing.

“Nulla.” I tell Johnny.

“Eh?” He questions.

“Nothing.”

“Wait did you find the key?”

“I just said I found nothing.”

“Oh thats what you meant! Bloody Italian.”

“Infatti”

“Bah! Should try picking the bloody thing, lad”

This was one the only skills I didn't know, lockpicking.

“Uhmm….”

“Don't tell me you don't know how to lockpick!”

“I don't”

“Alright, just use this.” He hands me a short knife and a small metal lockpick. “Put them both in the lock, knife at the bottom pick at the bottom then move it around.”

I did what he told, the lock quickly breaks.

“Very good!”

“Now what?”

December 24 1451 A Break

December 24 1451

A Break

The brisk wind chills me to the bone. My fur coat doesn't warm me up too much. It didn't help that something awful was weighing me down. Leaving Violet and Johnny without the slightest hint of my absence. I needed a break, and this was the best I could get, Damn, it was cold. I had no idea where I was, I'm sure they were worried,  I was foolish to leave without trace.

I lost myself in all the killing, I became a monster. A killing machine fueled by the anger and hatred of Benrook. I hated the new me. The killer me and I think Violet hated it too,

I was 25 now, getting older and older by the second. Less and less agile than before. I knew when I got back to Rome I would have the biggest fight of my life. The fight with Benrook. The boat I used to get here was days behind me. I sailed till I found land.

I feel something move behind me. Was I found?

“There he is get him!” I hear a familiar voice shout. I turn around to see where the voice came from. Nothing was there, just the wind.

“Who’s there?” I shout, I must have been going mad.

“KILL THE BASTARD!” The voice shouts. My breathing gets heavy, almost to the point where its impossible to breathe.

“Coraggio giovane” Ok, I’m going mad. That was Benrook’s voice.

“Almost laughable, Cristafano. How gullible are you?” A new voice, one I never heard before.

“Who are you? Why are you speaking to me?” I ask.

“I am not speaking to you, I’m speaking to him though your memories. Your whole life is being viewed over and over by one individual. That individual will help us.”

“Are you God?”

“Not God, not even close.”

“Then who are you?”

“It will be clear soon, now. You must travel back to Rome, your friends need you”

January 15 1452 Returning Home

Rome was different, too different. I guess thats what you miss when you leave Rome for almost 10 years. I found myself forgetting where most places were. But the one place I did remember, my home. I open the door slowly, the first person I spot was Johnny.

“Dear God you’re alive!” He shouts.

“Miss me?”

“Miss you? Course I missed ya, lad!”

“Chris…” I hear Violets voice. “!” She was furious. “NINE WEEKS YOU LEFT ME THINKING YOU WERE DEAD”

“Im sorry.”

“A simple Im sorry? Really? I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD.” She smacks me.

“You look different, lad.” Johnny speaks up.

“I know.” I scratched my untrimmed beard.

“Where the hell did you go anyways, lad?”

“Far, far away.”

I look to Violet to see tears drip from her eyes. “I thought you were dead.” She mumbles.“I'm not sure if you knew but Benrook took half of Rome. If your going to kill him, now would be the best time.”

“Right.” I knew this was coming, I was prepared for this, Today was the day I solved the biggest problem, Benrook.

“BENROOK!” I move through the walls of the colosseum.

“FOOL, You are a fool to come here, Cristofano! You have caused me too much trouble, TOO MUCH! Now you must DIE!” Benrook screams, this was the final problem. The problem to end all problems, the day he would die.

“I hope you're prepared.”

“Stesso for you, young man.”

I draw my mace, Benrook slips on his armoured helm. He was in full armour that looked almost impenetrable. Where all my armour was weak and light. But I was agile.. He draws his sword and we both approach each other. He begins to swing at me. I swiftly move out of the way.

His armour weighs him down. I move in from behind and slam my mace into this back. HIs armour clangs with the hit. My mace dents it.

“Cazzo!” He curses.

While he was stunned in pain, I grab him by the neck and hold him.

“If you kill me, you wouldn’t” He screams in agony. “You wouldn't have the information…”

“What information?”

“It wasn't me, it was never me. I was the cover up, It was her, always her.”

I tighten my grip on his neck. “Who’s her?”

“My…” He coughs. “Wife”  I push him to the ground and swing my mace at his neck. I won, But I didn't… The problem was done, the final problem…

A Letter

Dearest Violet,

My most sincere apologies for my disappearance.I have recently found out my adventure hasn’t ended. But I can assure you,Benrook is dead. But will all good things, it will not go unnoticed.Sadly this will cause war. Just when I thought it was over…

Violet, I was blind about your feelings. I left without any warning. And for that I am sorry. When I was younger, I was still oblivious to your feelings.I was too focused on revenge and not for the people who I love. With that, I must leave, again.

Sincerly,

Christifano
