He glared at Mason. “I… want… my… projects.” He demanded, with a deep and unnerving tone. Mason nodded his head.
“I-I’ll get the-the C & E squad,” Mason said while stuttering. Lynx smirked.
He stood up straight and looked around the blank and empty warehouse floor. He then turned towards Mason’s coworker, Cameron. “Get the C & E squad in today to track after the mutants. You!” He ordered, pointing at Cam. “I need you to deliver a message to our sponsors. The DREAM projects will be delayed by a day.”
“O-Okay, s-sir,” Cam said.
“Oh! And if they attack you, then threaten them with the appearance of another rogue mutant.” Cam nodded and stood up from his desk. He ran out of the warehouse and into his car that sat in the parking lot. Lynx turned away from Mason and walked towards the door, stopping at it. He gripped the doorknob but didn’t turn it at first. “I remember that your mother is sick, isn’t she? It would be a shame if her conditions suddenly worsened… “ He threatened. Mason froze on spot.
“I-I, go-got it.”
“It looks like you’re needed,” A young man wearing a casual plain blue tee and dark blue jeans. A cap that he wore blocked his eyes from being seen.
“It seems so,” An elderly man in his eighties, wielding a cane, said as he stood up. “It seems like the Capture and Enforce Squadron is needed.” The elderly man announced to the cells next to him. The elderly and young men were in a prison cell. A bunk bed sat on the almost blank wall, except for a single barred off window. The opposite sides of the cell were large barred windows that allowed one to look into the cells of their neighbors and be able to talk to them. The other wall held the iron door, with a small barred window, that kept them in place. A man in a military uniform walked down the steps that led to the basement, or also known as the prison. The man walked up to the elderly and young man’s cell.
“Siren… A DREAM warehouse was raided by a potential squad of rogue mutants. I need you to find out the names of these mutants.” The officer declared.
“What does he get in return? A ‘thank you?” The young man snickered. The officer turned towards the young man.
“You’re Viper? Kyle Viper? It’s best not to get on my bad side, kid.” He threatened. He then motioned for two officers to enter the cell. They went for Kyle and brought out an electronic baton. They ended up beating him black and blue without any resistance due to a collar placed around his neck and a chip implanted in the back of his neck. This allows the higher officials to turn ‘off’ or turn ‘on’ the mutant’s power.
“Is this necessary? He's just a young boy.” Siren said. The officer spat in his face. Siren clenched his fists but didn’t dare to attack the officer. He let out a long sigh, loosening his fist. He then raised two fingers to his head and started rubbing his temples. He also closed his eyes to focus. A sharp pain entered his shoulder, but he persisted. More sharp pains entered his body, but he refused to stop. He then came to a realization and stopped rubbing his temples, opening his eyes. “It was one mutant.”
“One? That’s impossible. There were at least two.” The officer said. Siren shook his head.
“Jane Row. She has the ability to clone herself and works solo.” Siren told him. The officer nodded and turned around, rushing upstairs. The officers stopped beating Kyle and locked the cell behind them, standing guard at their neighbor cells
“One day… I will kill you all.” Kyle muttered under his breath.
The projects woke up on the floor of an apartment. The first to say something was the one with the codename of Fire Ace. Jane Row popped her head out into the living room, where the three slept, from the kitchen. “You awake now?” She asked. Fire Ace turned towards her and stared in disbelief. “Where am I?” He asked.
“Chicago, in my apartment,” Jane responded. The other two woke up a few moments after Fire Ace. “Welcome to freedom.”
“Freedom? Why am I here?” Night Portal asked.
“You three were locked up in capsules in a warehouse. You were being molded into the government’s personal superheroes.”
“Heroes?” Ultra Wing asked, scratching his head.
Jane nodded her head softly. “I’m guessing that you’ve read comics before, at least? I’m one of those heroes myself.”
“That’s impossible. We can’t be like you…” He started before his voice fell.
“Like me? I’m a hero; a mutant. You three? You’re like me; mutants. I would suggest getting used to your new life because you won’t be able to return to your old one.” Jane said before yanking a strand of hair out.
“Why?” Night Portal asked, a single tear running down her cheek.
“The government will track you down and transform you into their personal weapon. Unless you want to become the property of the government, then I suggest that you work with me. I’m Jane Row; my power allows me to clone myself.”
“Th-Th-That’s impossible.” declared Ultra Wing. Jane smirked before whispering to the strand of hair. She then let go of the strand, letting it float down. Midway through its descent, the strand slowly changed into a replica of Jane.
“See,”
“What?” Ultra Wing shouted.
“That’s not real,” Night Portal shrieked, putting her hands on her mouth.
“Then we’re no longer normal, right?” Fire Ace whispered. Jane nodded. Her clone sat on standby.
“I will give you a choice. Either become my apprentices and learn under me or leave and return to your normal life with the chance that the government will track you down.” Jane said, holding out two fingers. The three nodded their heads. “I’ll give you the day to decide. Right now I need to go take care of business.” She said. She then whispered something to the clone, disintegrating the replica in front of their eyes. She then went to the door and turned the door handle slightly. Fire Ace chased after her.
“Where are you going?” He asked.
Jane looked around her shoulder. “I need to protect Chicago.” She muttered before turning the door handle and walking outside, closing it behind her.

Episode Four "Insurgents"Spineripper tore down another building and crippled a few more streets. He waited patiently for a worthy foe to defeat him. His days as pro-wrestler Rex Ford led to win after win, resulting in big successes. The infamous win streak he held soon changed from being an exciting and thrilling event to boring and worthless. He soon turned to picking fights in the streets which landed him in prison more than a few times. This boredom then led to habits that, soon, tarnished his reputation and killed his career. At the lowest point he ever was, he discovered a black inky liquid that soon took over his body once he made contact with it. This liquid soon revealed its name, Toxic. Toxic granted him immense strength that allowed him to run rampant and tear up Chicago without breaking a sweat. He fought tanks, rockets, and every other military technology government had, but none could defeat him. Deprived of a worthy foe to die at the hands of, Rex wrecked Willis Tower and demanded the government to grant him the worthy foe. Rex no longer wanted to live in his current form. Instead, he wanted to die at the hands of someone stronger than him during a fair fight. Something that he wouldn’t get as a normal human. “Will I ever die?” He asked himself.
“We are one. I will not allow you to die,” Toxic’s voice muttered, lurking in the back of his mind.
“I will die. I’m a human in the end.”
Jane rushed to the mayor’s office in hopes of finding Spinebreaker. Like she suspected, Spinebreaker was no longer at the mayor’s office, but, instead, at his home. A Swat car, stationed outside of his house, led Jane to her next target. Jane knocked out the swat officers before walking up to Spinebreaker’s house. His house is a newly abandoned three-story mansion with a fresh coat of paint. She didn’t enter through the front of the house, but through a window on the second floor. Once she broke in using her SID, she dropped into the room and looked around. The room looked to be a normal bedroom without any significance to it. She tiptoed towards the door that led to the hallway.
She made it to the door and slowly turned the handle, peeking out into the hall. She opened the door ajar before stepping outside. Once she did, she was held up in the air. She was being choked out by someone. “This is the foe that they sent me?” A familiar voice muttered.
“You-You’re S-Spine-Spinebreaker?” She muttered while being choked. Spinebreaker turned her around to face him. Once she noticed her face, she stopped in her tracks. Spinebreaker’s black and inky suit sparked fear into her. Parts of his suit dripped off onto the ground before clinging back onto the suit. The suit constantly moved, never staying in one place for longer than a few seconds.
“Yes… I am,” He muttered.
“Good, then I won’t have to feel bad about this,” she said, gathering up her strength and kicking him in the chest, propelling off him. She threw herself onto the floor while Spinebreaker moved back an inch. “Well, I didn’t expect an easy fight,” she whispered. She yanked out a large number of hair strands and dropped them onto the floor. “Duplicate!” she shouted. The strands, each, created a clone. A total of ten clones appeared on Jane’s left.
“You’re a mutant.” He muttered in his deep and gurgly voice. He then grinned. “This will be fun.” He muttered before charging at her.
“Clones 1 and 2! Defend! The rest of you will follow me!” Jane ordered. Her clones nodded simultaneously. “Okay, that’s a little weird,” she whispered. She then turned around and ran down the hallway with her clones following. Her two first clones defended against Spinebreaker’s charge, but the damage proved to be overwhelming. After being charged into, the clones were disintegrated by the lack of health they held.
“Weak,” Spinebreaker muttered before rushing down the hall. He made it to the end of the hall and looked around, not noticing Jane or any of her clones.
“Clone 3 and 4!” Jane shouted from somewhere in the house. “Fight Spinebreaker!” She shouted. Two of her clones rushed towards Spinebreaker.
“Weak,” he muttered, charging towards the clones. At the last minute, the clones leaped into the air and over Spinebreaker. Once on the other side of Spinebreaker, they pulled out a dagger laced with poison and plunged it into him. Spinebreaker let out a loud roar before turning around and destroying the clones.
“Hey! I’m over here!” Jane shouted from outside. Spinebreaker, his eyes now turning bloodshot, ran to the room where Jane entered from and dove out of the window. The window broke into pieces as he flung himself out of it and onto the ground outside. He now faced Jane and several of her clones. “Remaining clones, charge!” She ordered. The clones
