"There are dark shadows on the earth,
but its lights are stronger in the contrast".

Finally being able to wrap my head around what Evan had given us, I read the questions. Frowning as I'm skimming them, I was confused.
Lemo?
Fraer?
Best fighting technique?
Have you ever taken a form down? Tick which ones or circle other.
There were pictures with some freaky looking bastards in the boxes. One had teeth longer than my fingers if I put it to scale and they stuck out of its face and down past it's chin. I looked like it was skin and such. It was gross and then their were some other ones that were really disturbing. I thought the one that looked like clouds of smoke was strange but I skipped it. Then the bell went and everyone rose and left their seats as they all raced out. I sat there staring at the paper. The room silent after everyone shuffled out. I then heard talking.
"-it'll start this afternoon." said one voice which sounded like Evan's. Then a reply, "So, what are we supposed to do with her?" The voice sounded like the girl who sat on the bench.
"Just help her. She has no idea what's going on. The least you can do is help her for God's sakes!" It went silent.
Then a, "Don't you dare say that name. It is unworthy of your tongue." She said sharply.
"How can you say that when he has so clearly kicked you out." And with that I could hear footsteps heading out of the building. And then a stamp from a stiletto and a girly 'Uhargh!'
"Stop acting like a child. If you will not help her, we will." And then the stiletto made its departure known as it stormed off.
"Well, it's settled then. She's basically a hooker anyway." One of the other voices said as I heard laughter and some pat on the backs. I rolled my eyes.
Then the foot steps became louder. I realized they were coming my way.
I squeezed my pen and looked around for a quick getaway but there was nothing that would be quick by the time they got here. I quickly fixed up my posture then looked down at the paper as they walked in talking. Then silence slowly came over the room. It happened so fast that my paper slid from under my gaze and hand. I looked up and the one I was looking at earlier was sitting there on the table with his feet on the chair sitting on the table.
He passed it to the boys who were all sitting on the tables around mine. I felt awkwwwwarddddddd. So I tried to slow my breathing.
They all watched me with watchful gazes. Then the blond one looked down at the paper and smiled. He looked up at me and raised an eyebrow. "Charlie Hansen?" And I just looked to my left to where the wall had racks climbing up the wall. I had a bad habit of writing my name up the top. Then an index finger slipped under my chin and pulled my face back to them. They all looked beautiful in a scary way. Everyone here was. One was the purest blond hair, one had brown hair, two had black hair and one had dirty blond just like the girl.
The white blond one had the paper in his hand as he skimmed over it. He looked at the guys first. "It's blank." It almost sounded like a question. The black headed ones reached for it and skimmed then passed it on. What the hell is going on?
They all turned to look to eachother. I sat with my hands twiddling under the table. I almost reached for my wavy hair until a loud 'THUMP' scared me.
Two arms from the light blond were gripping each side of my desk.
My eyes must have been open for a while because they started to burn from the constant air.
"Are you Lemo or Fraer?" He asked with a stern look and steady but agitated voice.
I just stared at him while the rest were staring and not moving from their seats on the desks.
"I-I-I-" My voice shook and I stuttered uncontrollably.
He rolled his eyes and shook the table.
My hands were white at the knuckles when I had them clutching eachother hand in hand in my denim lap.
My voice automatically took control. "Stop doing that."
And he just looked at me and shook the table again but with more force.
"What I'm saying is... are you angel... or are you demon?" He said it so steady.
Is he absolutely nuts?
All I could manage was, "Are you even all up in here?" I said with a uneven laugh as I tapped my temple with my index.
His face gave me the wave that he was dead serious.
He moved in closer and I could feel his cold breath on my nose and cheeks.
"Being stubborn will get you nowhere." And they left as quick as I could blink. I realized my sheet was in front of me and my pen was in my bag which was weird. I looked at the sheet thinking I could be going crazy since they were nowhere to be seen. Then I grabbed my bag and slung it over my shoulder but as I started to pass Evans desk and I was about to join my paper with everyone elses, there was something on my paper.
What are you?
Lemo?
Fraer?
Neither of them were circled. But there was a scribbled word below them.
Noctar

I made it out of the empty class room and down the hall walled with lockers and cabinets. Then I heard a laugh that made me feel cold up my arms and neck. I tightened my grip on the strap that slung over my left shoulder. I turned towards the laughs direction. Leaning against the locker was Mr Douche face and another guy who my gaze stuck on. He had rugged chestnut hair that had a rough but sensible look. He was taller than the one I spilt coffee on and he stood with his shoulder pressed to the locker and one foot rested on the other. His skin a light coffee shade and I looked at his eyes and they-
"Did we scare you?" Chuckled the bastard who stood beside the taller guy and I came back to reality. They both wore black.
I simply shook my head and conjured up a steady laugh followed by my voice.
"That's almost like being scared by a coffee stain. Except uglier." My grip got even tighter as my hand shook, I could feel the searing pain of my nails digging into my palm.
His eyes darkened as he glared at me. I should have just nodded and I would have been on my merrily way to go find Dee and Norris. But instead, I'm having a face off with my newest friend. Yay.
He balled his fist as he went to step towards me. My eyes instantly screwed shut and prepared for the hit. Then a 'Clunk' echoed through the hall and I slowly peered out through my heavy lashes at the cause of the sound.
There was my 'friend' pushed up against the locker with the just alittle taller one peering almost into his soul as he had the guys shirt gripped into a ball into a tight fist.
"I wouldn't push it Trent." His voice was low with a almost soft tone to it. He pulled the other guy towards him and then quickly shoved him into the lockers again, harder. He looked angry while the other had his teeth clenched to bare the pain. I stood there looking between them both wondering what was going on.
"She wants to push it... I'll take it into my own hands." The dark blond haired hissed through clenched teeth as the other pulled his face closer and I thought I could see something flicker almost like a flint being scraped. He let go of Trent's shirt.
"See you in the practice room." I was more confused then ever. A GUY was actually determined to HIT me. What the fuck?
Trent walked past me towards a thick black door across the hallway. On his way, he shouldered me and muttered what I think was 'bitch'. I stood there silent as the door closed behind him. I didn't realize I was holding my breath so I let it go. I swear that lately, I've forgotten how to breathe.
I looked up at the guy in front of me as he stood only a few feet away. He sighed and looked at me. My heels giving an mercy to my height as he was still three or so inches taller than me.
"Sorry about that. Trent isn't himself today." He said and I grimaced.
"Totally. Because last night he was hell bent on plans to make my life miserable." And I cocked up my eyebrow daring him to give his best excuse. He just walked forward and put his hand out. "Duke Bething. Just Duke will do and it is a pleasure to meet you." He smiled and his perfectly straight teeth glowed. I couldn't help but smile back and accept his hand. "Charlie Han-" And soon as our hands met, I felt a shock go up my arm and through my body. Quickly finishing off my sentence
