What Love Can Compare?

- written by the author

The Christian Bible says in John 15:13-14 (NLT) that:

"There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends.

You are my friends if you do what I command."

1 - The Robot Of Her Dreams

"I'm taking out the trash!" Medriana Kyle informed loudly. The Blue Moon Restuarant and bar had closed and she just finished washing dishes. She sighed as she grabbed the heavy black plastic bag out from the large trash can in the kitchen area.

"Fine," said the only other person in the room who was waiting for him to leave so she could close the place. Blue Moon was the most famous food place in Raven Heights, New York. Ana threw the bag into the dumpdster that was beside the back of the restaurant. She hurried inside and locked the metal doors behind her.

"Here," the woman she was with, Penelope, gestured towards the envelope for her birthday pay.

"Thank you, Penny!" Ana said, while reaching and grabbing the yellow envelope.

"Yes, Happy birthday, Meriana, Penny congratulated her, "you made it to 23 years of life."

Meriana opened the envelope when she was infront of the front door of Blue Moon and under the door's umbella. It was raining, but she felt warmth wen she counted $300. The amount of money she needed. She planned for something special. She hurried home and went to her bedroom area, almost tripping over blavk bags and cardboard boxes under the dimly lit home. She threw herselfon the bed and grabbed the holo glasses. She put them on and pressed a button on the helmet.

"Search X-TVM's website." she said,"Go to store..."

The holographic screen infront of her showed a list of robots and prices beside them. She opened multi-screens beside her. She was happy to get the $300 because that completed the money she woyuld owe for ordering a robot from X-TVM Robotics And More. She scrolled down andd pressed Dog-Girl - Man's Best Friend.

She begun to read her description online.

"Ever wanted a pet with no mess? How about a pretty girl to talk to at any time of day?..."

She checked the price and it was $3,000.

"Perfect," she whispered,"I can pay $1,000 up front."

She scanned her ID tag and was taken to another page and read it.

"You are almost done ordering your lovely robor, All you need to do is name her."

"Hmmm," Meriana spoke to herself, "How about Lillian."

She typed in Lillian by pressing the keyboard hologram infront of her.

"Excellent! Your order is complete. Thank you for visiting! Good-bye!" the headphones sounded.

Meriana giggled and threw her bosy back on the bed. She squeeled as she threw her legs up temporarily.

"Yes! My first robot!" Meriana repeated again and again, "I'm going to have my first robot!"

She was excited about the whole thing. It was hard to hold it in. She couldn't sleep. So she got up from her bed and went out her bedroom area in the studio apartment she lived in. She reached for a cabinent. She mad herself some tea with honey and mint sprinkled sugar.  She then sat on her kitchen table where she had put down her holo glasses and headphone headset.

"I'm getting a robot," she said. She wast still in disbalief.

2 - Wrong Robot

"Hey, Meriana!" yelled Karlen as she threw a rock at her window. Meriana had fallen asleep in her kitchen and was abrutely awakened by the sound of glass breaking.

"The heck-" she said as she stood up and walked into her room. She looked at the broken window and at the floor covered in crytal shards of glass. She put on shoes and stepped over the glass to look out the window. It was daytime, the street was practically empty. She looked left and write but could not see who did it. He could not see who did it becuase Karley was hiding.

"Who the heck did this?!" Meriana said,"who ever you are apologize!" she yelled,"there are camera bots roaming the streets. The police will find you!"

Suddenly there was a knock at her door. She turned around and rushed to her front door. The house was not bright, inspite of the time of day. The sunlight would only creep in a little betweenn satin black sheets. Droggily and in distress she still felt motivated to check her door. After checking through the tv who it was, she realized it was her long-termed friend, Karlen.

"Hey Karl," Meriana said, "You didn't happen to see some one throw something at my window, did you?"

"Um, why do you ask my favorite rien Ana." Karlen asked, playing innocent and also playing unaware and also lying.

"Some one broke my window..."

"Hhhh," Karlen gasped fakely."Who could've done such a thing?"

"I don'y know,  Gang activity ussually happens after 3 and I don't know any one from either Phantoms or Saints."

"Maybe a stalker," Karlen said, "I've heard of some perverts in this city."

She tried to play as innocent to the crime as possible. She hoped her acting skill was okay. She tried to remain loose.

"I hope not-,"  Ana said before being interrupted by the door. Some one was knocking on the door.

Ana opened the door. There was a mailman at the door. Ana got excited and temporarily forgot about the window when she looked at the very big box with the label X-TVM Robotics. The reason the robot got there so quick was because she ordered express ship and there was a TeleVsion Machenovia (X-TVM meaning) Factory in town. She smiled and  got her ID scanned to sign the papers.

"Is that-" Karlen started,"a robot?"

"Yup," Ana said ripping through the taped box.

"I ordered a Dog Girl Robot last night."

"Cool," Karlen replied, she unhooked her elecctronic backpack and gently placed it on the ground.

"I'm glad my Robot, Charles has a new wifi buddy."v she said as her backpack transforned to a robot cat.

"Mine is realistic and it's a test-type." Meriana said as she uncovered the bubble wrap. She was excitedly but less than afew seconds later her lips uncurled and her face read disgust and disappointment. She let out a surprised, "what."

"what happened?" Karlen asked picking up Charles the purple cat. Meriana hit her forehead with the palm of her head.

"This isn't Lillian. This isn't my dog girl?
