'Ever! Get up!'
My little sister Claire was jumping on my bed.
'Get up! You're going to be late!'
My little sister, Claire, is 7 and has a VERY positive attitude about school. She's the absolute opposite of me.
Annoyed, I got up. My alarm clock went off, playing a familiar song from my iPod collection. My favorite Nightcore track - Wriemia Agniej
(who cares if I can't pronounce the title?).
Mum was boiling two eggs, while my younger brother Timothy (who's only 2) was bashing a plastic spoon on his high chair, obviously wanting to be fed.
'Kate, do you need any help?' Dad came in.
'Yeah, that'll be great, thanks!' Mum replied.
Dad got the egg cups out as I prepared some toast for myself.
'See you later, Ever!' Mum called as I left for school. Tanya, Olivia and Sarah was waiting for me outside. We walked together, talking about our dream.
'If we're going to be a girl band - what are we going to be called?' Olivia asked.
We all thought for a moment.
'Epic Bass?' Tanya suggested. We shook our heads.
'Doom?' I suggested. The others shook their heads.
'I know!' Sarah cried. 'The Energy!'
'YEAH!' We cried.
During form, I drew logo ideas and finally settled on one.
There was no assembly today, so I went over to show the design to the girls. They loved it.
First lesson was Religious Education. We had annoying Miss Denhall AGAIN. I was too busy thinking about the band than about RE. I quietly flicked through a book of song lyrics.
Second lesson was Drama - SO FUN. Mrs Daniels split us into groups and said for us to do some type of talent. Luckily, I carry my iPod around in my folder (only secretly), and Mrs Daniels said we could use it. I had a docking station, too. I found the song.
When our time was up, we performed to the class.
We acted our first concert and did the chorus of the Nightcored version of Thanks For The Memories
.
'One night and one more time,
Thanks for the memories,
Even though they weren't so great,
He tastes like you only sweeter,
One night yeah, and one more time,
Thanks for the memories,
Thanks for the memories,
See he tastes like you only sweeter...'

The class stared, gobsmacked.
At last, it was break.
That's when we saw him.
Skater Boy.
I know you may be asking, 'Who IS Skater Boy?' He's my boyfriend, Alex. He's incredibly hot, and always rides a skateboard.
Alex skated up to me.
'Hey, Ever.' He said.
'Hi,' I replied. 'How are you?'
'Good, thanks.' He replied, smiling. He waved and skated off.
This sudden meeting reminded me of a song. Tanya, Olivia, Sarah and I (aka. The Energy) started to sing, choreographing a dance.
'He was a skater boy, she said "See ya later boy"
He wasn't good enough for her, now he's a superstar,
Slamming on his guitar,
Does your pretty face see what he's worth?
Sorry girl, but you missed out,
Well, tough luck, that boy's mine now,
We are more than just good friends,
This is how the story ends,
Too bad that you couldn't see,
See the man that boy could be,
There is more that meets the eye,
I see the soul that is inside,
He's just a boy and I'm just a girl,
Can I make it any more obvious?
We are in love, haven't you heard,
How we rock each others world?
I'm with the skater boy, I said "See ya later boy"
I'll be backstage after the show, I'll be at a studio,
Singing the song we wrote,
About a girl you used to know...'

We had a small crowd. A teacher even came over.
We're doing good for the four of us - as a beginning girl band.
'Tanya!' Tanya cried, putting her hand in the middle of our circle.
'Sarah!' Sarah did the same.
'Olivia!'
'Ever!' Now there was all four hands in the middle.
'THE ENERGY!' We yelled, lifting our hands up.
Next lesson was Art. Sarah's keen at this subject. I'm not so keen on it - mainly because of Mr Dubfree. He's REALLY harsh on us. The only merits he ever gives in class is to Sarah - mainly as she's good.
We were all asked to draw a character from anything - films, animes, books... you know.
I drew Holo, from Spice and Wolf
. It's my favorite anime - Tokyo Mew Mew comes a close second.
(Yes - I drew that. I love Spice and Wolf
! - B.Rees)
Not the best thing ever, I know - but it's okay. Sarah drew a very graphic image of Edward Cullen. It was really good, and it almost looked real! Tanya is our major Twihard - she went crazy over Sarah's picture.
'OMG! I just want to KISS him! HE'S SO HOT!!' Dear Lord... -_-
Lunch soon came. A bunch of boys behind our table were singing 'We Will Rock You,' so we joined in.
'Buddy you're a young man, hard man,
shouting in the street,
gonna take the whole world someday,
you got mud on your face,
you big disgrace,
kicking your can all over the place.
We will, we will rock you!
We will, we will rock you!'

The lunch ladies were laughing their heads off when the tallest blonde boy, Jake, started doing air guitar - making all the guitar noises too! It was SO
funny. Someone was filming the ENTIRE thing.
'You should put that on YouTube!' I cried, as I saw the guy after lunch - showing the clip to his friend.
I was so excited. The next lesson was... MUSIC
!
Mrs Daniels is LOVELY. She always encourages people to form groups.
She will LOVE The Energy.
(Hopefully)
'Come in!' Mrs Daniels cried. We all dashed in.
Our form LOVES Music. Mrs Daniels is a real Nightcore fan (like me).
'Has anyone formed a band lately or received a musical award?' Mrs Daniels asked.
Tanya, Sarah, Olivia and I put our hands up.
'Great! Ever?' She asked.
'I've started a band with Olivia, Tanya and Sarah.' I said.
Mrs Daniels smiled. 'Wow! Do you have a name?'
'Yeah.' I say. I whispered to the girls.
'THE ENERGY!' We cried.
'Awesome! I look forward to hear your music girls- I mean, The Energy!' She said, writing something down. 'But, I have news for all of you. Not just these ladies of The Energy.
We have had the opportunity to sign up to a music competition. You'll be competing on live TV with other acts in schools across our country. Groups, musicians and artists are allowed.'
'Which competition, Miss?' Jake asked.
'Well... we have signed up for MUSIC STAR!'
Everyone cheered. I stared at the girls. They were screaming and hugging with excitement.
We were practicing our piece when Mrs Daniels came in.
'Are you entering Music Star?' She asked.
'Heck, yeah!' We all said at the same time.
'I've heard you're a real Nightcore lover, Miss! Which song is your favorite?'
'Oh - their remix of Bad Boy
by Cascada. I'm LOVING that tune. I'll sing it later, if you want. Anyway, I hope to see your group on the line up list. Here's your sign-up sheet.' She handed us some paperwork. 'See you around.'
'Bye, Miss!' We cried. I looked at the paperwork. Miss had filled in some of the paperwork for us: Our band name, our names and ages and our school information.
Miss kept her promise.
'Guys - you know I love Nightcore, right?' The class nodded.
'Four ladies asked me my favorite - now I just HAVE to sing it. I've not sung a Nightcore song to you before, haven't I? This is a remix of a song by Cascada - it's Bad Boy
!'
The class buzzed with excitement as Mrs Daniels found the backing track.
'Remember the feelings, remember the day,
My stone heart was breaking, my love ran away,
This moment, I knew I would be someone else,
My love turned around and I felt...
Be my bad boy, be my man,
Be my weekend lover, but don't be my friend,
You can be my bad boy, but understand,
That I don't need you in my life again,
Would you be my bad boy, be my man,
Be my weekend lover, but don't be my friend,
You can be my bad boy, but understand,
That I don't need you again,
No, I don't need you again...
'

Miss went through the rest of the song. We were all astonished. She was a good singer. She handed out paperwork a select few of those who wanted to be in Music Star.
Last lesson was Geography, but people were too excited about Music Star to pay attention. Mrs Game was NOT happy.
'What lesson have you just had?' She asked.
'Music!' We cried.
'What's made you all so excited, Ever Wilson?' She asked and looked at me sternly.
'We've been entered into Music Star!' I cried happily.
'Well, if you all don't listen, I'll have to ask Mrs Daniels to withdraw you from the competition.'
'NO!' We screamed. We were angry. Many girls cried - and some boys even shed a tear. Mrs Game was still angry, but looked sympathetic.
As soon as she said about withdrawing us, Mrs Daniels walked in. Oh dear.
'Mrs Game, how could you say such a thing? The kids are excited. They're talented. If you withdraw them, it'll crash their dreams and lower our school rating - as well as break my heart. Just give in! Any more of this and I'll report you to the headmistress!
'Sorry about this, kids. You're still in. You're so talented. See you later, kids!'
