of doom out of me.
โ€œ Fine, I believe you so that should be enough to satisfy you. Now, will you help me or not? Because either way, Iโ€™ll find a way to get these out and then either way, I will kill your brother and I wonโ€™t let you interfere, got it?โ€ I asked her.
She looked at me and stared at me for a moment. I held her gaze and just waited for her answer. She was slower than a sloth trying to get to another tree on the other side of a river.
โ€œ Fine, Iโ€™ll help and I wonโ€™t stop you, all I want is that before you kill him, I spit on his pimpled face.โ€ she said.
I liked her slightly more than before. I grinned up at her and stood up, the boys grabbing me when I thought I was going to fall.
โ€œ Fine, by me all the way to rooster world. Now, will you try to get these outta me? Iโ€™m beginning to think Iโ€™m pregnant with hellโ€™s leaches.โ€ I told her.
She smiled slightly.
โ€œ Yeah, though not today because you need to recover, Melissa needs to clean her house and I need to go get the materials for the spell Iโ€™ll be doing on you. Iโ€™ll be back tomorrow night so until then, just hang in there.โ€ she said.
โ€œ Donโ€™t worry,โ€ I said, patting my belly, โ€œ Iโ€™m hanging on like a monkey hanging to a tree full of fire ants biting its ass and eating its lice.โ€ I told her.
โ€œ Huh?โ€
โ€œ Sheโ€™ll wait.โ€ Marco and Evin said.
I nodded. Meave and Melissa chuckled.
โ€œ What an odd girl you are.โ€ Melissa said.
โ€œ Youโ€™re not the only one whoโ€™s said that to me.โ€ I told her.
โ€œ Obviously.โ€ Meave said before she left.
I returned to the dark room, waiting for tomorrow night to come quickly.
Eight

I was wide awake and full of energy by the time it was the next night. I couldnโ€™t sleep las night, morning, night, whatever, and now all I wanted for my birthday present was to get hellโ€™s hell hound black shit of worms out of me. Evin and Marco had been bringing me food the whole time and annoying me with their worried and sad looks. They knew not to pity me because I would have turned pro killer on them and send their asses where no light would shine.
I was giddy but instead of showing the happiness that my problem would go away soon, I turned it into nervous energy and began pacing, trying to catch Meaveโ€™s scent. I never really was worried for anyone up until now. The thought shot me through something.
I am worried and frightened. Daddy hasnโ€™t come back yet. I want to see him but I know he and mom must be together, trying to protect me. I hated that I couldnโ€™t do anything to help them. Sister wolf was trying really hard to comfort me but it wasnโ€™t working since she was more scared than I was. I wasnโ€™t strong so I knew that if I wasnโ€™t strong but when a wolf was scared, it turned dangerous.
My body guard came to me. I didnโ€™t look into his eyes but I did hug him. He was the only person I had ever let hug me, besides my true love.
โ€œ When is dad coming back? I want to help.โ€ I said into his chest. He hugged me back. He smelled like safety, a guard, a person I cared about more than my life.
โ€œ Heโ€™ll be here soon. But heโ€™s hiding you because he loves you. He doesnโ€™t want to lose you.โ€ my bodyguard said. I nodded and held him. He picked me up and then took us to the bed where he sat, placing me in his lap. I never let my true love do this because while I loved him, I wasnโ€™t very intimate with him. I was only intimate with this man right here, before me.
โ€œ Everything will turn out all right.โ€ he whispered into my ear.
I still didnโ€™t look up at him. I loved how he talked this way only to me. I sighed, worried. My people were out there, fighting for me and I was here, helpless and unable to do anything about it. I wanted to become stronger.
โ€œ What if they succeed? What if I am caught? Why do they want me?โ€ I asked him.
โ€œ I donโ€™t know, Nina, but they wonโ€™t have you. And if they do catch you, I will move the earth to find you. Remember that Iโ€™ll always find you, Nina, always remember. Are you listening?โ€ he asked me.
I took my face away from his warm neck and looked up at him and smiled at himโ€ฆ.

My dream was shattered by someone opening my door. I growled at Marco for akin away my dream.
โ€œ Gee, thanks, Dr. Dumbass, for ruining a perfectly good dream. Or was it a memory? Whatever, just next time you interrupt me, Iโ€™ll kick your ass just how a train would break it when it runs over you.โ€ I told him.
โ€œ Trains?โ€ he asked.
I sighed, rolled my eyes, and looked up into the ceiling, asking above why they had given me the most idiotic changeling in the world.
โ€œ What were you doing? Did some of your memory return?โ€ Marco asked, hope in his voice.
โ€œ How the holy hell bombshell would I know? You interrupted me.โ€ I glared at him annoyingly.
โ€œ What was the dream about?โ€ he asked, curious.
Was this guy even listening to me? I swear to my ass that he was getting on my nerves. Why I hadnโ€™t killed him or sent him to isolation? Because somewhere in my fucking black heart, a little kindness was growing for him. I wanted to slap my heart around, yelling โ€˜what the fuck is wrong with you! He is nothing to be kind about. Men are horrible creatures that you canโ€™t live with or without. No love for him, he hasnโ€™t earned enough tequila pointsโ€™.
โ€œ It was about a supposed bodyguard I had and how much I loved him. Why are you asking me?โ€ I questioned him suspiciously.
โ€œ Did you see his face?โ€ he asked.
I crossed my arms and glared at him. โ€œ No, you little piece of changeling shit, because when I thought I was going to see his face, you interrupted me. But from what the I could tell, the supposed me really loved this supposed guy, more than the supposed true love I had.โ€
Marco was blushing a little, not looking into my eyes. There was a little sadness in his eyes. Why was he sad? I wanted to ask him but I didnโ€™t since I knew how it felt when someone tries to rip information like ripping a scab from a still red ass pimple.
โ€œ Marco, hey, where are you right now? Hell, heaven, or somewhere where I donโ€™t annoy the shit out of you?โ€ I asked him, trying to draw back his attention.
He finally looked up and blushed again before he began to talk.
โ€œ I would never think of leaving your side, Nina, I was just thinking of why your memories havenโ€™t come back yet.โ€ he said.
I gave him one more suspicious stare before letting it go.
โ€œ Okay, whatever makes your brain bell chime. So, why did you interrupt me anyways? Because if its for nothing, Iโ€™ll make your life a living hell cell.โ€
I hated cells. I had spent so many years in there since as far as I could remember. I shuddered at the thought.
โ€œ I just came here to tell you that Meave is here and sheโ€™s preparing her circle for the spell. She wants you to come when youโ€™re ready. You ready?โ€ he asked.
I did a few leg and arm stretches. Marco watched me, crossing folding his arms into his chest, an amused expression in his face.
โ€œ What in the world are you doing?โ€ he asked.
โ€œ Preparing myself.โ€ I told him as I was doing leg stretches.
โ€œ For what, kicking Meaveโ€™s ass?โ€ he asked.
โ€œ No, not only for that but just in case if a fight does go on, mentally or physically.โ€ I responded.
He chuckled and when I was done, we went back to the living room. I noticed that the two girls and the guyโ€™s body werenโ€™t on the floor anymore and that Melissa and Evin had fixed the broken door. I felt bad for the door for being broken but happy that it was now fixed. Poor door, it had to have its ass kicked by a bunch of turds.
I saw that meave was sitting on the floor. I smelled chalk and dried, disgusting herbs. I also smelled some nasty pee smelling liquid. The thing was green and looked as if Meave had put green dye in the pee smelling juice.
โ€œ What type of pee is that?โ€ I asked her.
โ€œ Gargoyle pee.โ€ she said.
I backed up a little.
โ€œ How the hell did you get it?โ€ I asked her.
โ€œ Its a long story so Iโ€™ll tell you later, if we ever see each other again.โ€ she said, as if today would be my last day of life. She wished.
โ€œ Why do we need gargoyle pee?โ€ I asked her.
She sighed. Like I cared if she thought I was irritating.
โ€œ Because the gargoyle is the Hellโ€™s messengers. Theyโ€™re hard to catch and harder to get their pee. They connect this world to Hell, just as angels connect us to Heaven.โ€ she said.
โ€œ I donโ€™t believe in heaven but I do believe in hell.โ€ I told her and went to get something to drink. Evin was there, his back towards me, his head down. I could coulees see his tense back muscles. What had crawled up his crotch and died?
โ€œ Evin, you okay, dude?โ€ I asked him.
He whirled around to look at me, surprise in his face. Had I caught him unguarded? I smirked.
โ€œ Wow, Ev,โ€ I said, crossing my arms and leaning into the kitchen wall, one leg hinged itself with my other, โ€œ Your assassin skills have gone down a notch since the last time I saw you.โ€ I told him.
He grinned up at me, but the grin wasnโ€™t much to convince me that something was majorly wrong with him.
โ€œ Naw, I just let you sneak up on me. You know when I have work do, Iโ€™m , how you say it, focused like a sharp pencil ready to be used for a test.โ€ he told me.
Okay, I was the one with the stress mets but his try
