Aabrar – “Ok mom!”
Aabrar still couldn’t eat. He began to sweat and his eyes got full of tears. His mom noticed that.
Mom – “What’s happen Aabrar? Why you are sweating dear? And why you have water in your eyes? Is everything Ok son?”
Although Aabrar wanted to tell but he couldn’t! Because his words couldn’t come out from his mouth and all the time it just stroked his heart like something very sharp was poking his heart.
Aabrar – “Nothing mom! I am feeling so hot.”
The ceiling fan was moving in full speed, but he lied to his mom. Even except him, nobody was sweating.
Mom – “But why the tears in your eyes?”
Aabrar – “Ah! Something may be gone into my eyes!”
He rubbed his eyes to fake his cry. His dad told him to put some water in his eyes so that he could feel better. If he watered his eyes then the dust will come out. Aabrar stopped eating and went to the bathroom. He splashed his eyes with water, but how could he hold his tears. He tried to keep himself calm and then went back to the dinner room.
Again he took his seat and began to eat. But suddenly the food stuck in his throat and he began to cough. His mom took off her seat and gave a water glass to her son to drink. She rubbed his head and chest to swallow the food. Aabrar drank the water but he couldn’t eat the food any longer. He only ate half plate of it. Mom told him to finish his food somehow slowly but Aabrar refused to eat.
His dad took side of him. His dad said, “Alright! Then son, take the mango juice at least that is inside the fridge. Cause you didn’t take your meal totally. Your belly is empty!”
Aabrar – “Ok dad! I am taking!”
His mom remained silent. Then Aabrar drank the mango juice from the fridge and went back to his room for taking some rest.
Few minutes later his mom entered to his room with a glass of milk mixed with honey.
Mom – “Son, come on get up! Take this milk! I’ve mixed honey in it for you so that its smell won’t make you to vomit.”
In that time Aabrar was lying down on his bed. He got off from the bed and took the glass of milk from his mom. Aabrar didn’t refuse his mom or not even made any sound. Silently he drank the milk like good boys do.
Aabrar – “Thank you mom!”
Mom – “You welcome my dear son!”
Then he returned the empty glass to his mom.
Aabrar – “Mom, I want to sleep now! I am so tired today!”
Mom – “Ok son! Good night!”
Aabrar – “Good night mom!”
Although it was only 9:30 PM, Aabrar as usual used to sleep at 10:30 to 11:00 PM after watching little TV with his dad or reading books. His mom didn’t know that her son is going to kill himself and it was her last good night wish for the sleep. If she knew then she never ever let her son to do that.
His mom left and Aabrar closed the door. He went to the bath room and unclothed himself. He was sweating and feeling so hot like he was burning in fire. He turned on the shower and took a full bath. He’s shampooing his hair to make it silky and shiny while he was taking shower. He also brushed his teeth and tongue, because few times later he would go to take something that could destroy his lunge and after his death foul smell could emit from his mouth.
Wiping his whole body, he saw his full naked body in the mirror. Cause he will miss his beautiful bare body. He opened his wardrobe’s drawer and took his favorite beautiful white Panjabi that he bought on the last Eid by his own money. Although Aabrar didn’t do any job and all the pocket money for self-expenses, he got it from his dad. But this money he got for his own result. He got scholarship for his excellent result in his class. So his university gave him a small amount of money as reward and with that money he bought some gifts for his parents and bought a Panjabi for him. And rest of the money he kept for future expenses.
He wore that Panjabi as top and Payjama as bottom. And he put his favorite fragrance on his entire body. The perfume was gifted by his aunt from the USA. The smell of that perfume was favorite to him. He occasionally used that perfume. He looked himself in the mirror once again after getting dressed. He touched the mirror and began to cry when he looked himself, because after today he won’t ever see himself as dressed.
His sight fell onto the wall clock. It was almost 10:00 PM. Now he told himself, “This is the time! I have to do it!”
He looked at the bag, because he kept something in that bag. He slowly walked toward the table. He pulled the chair and sat down. Then he took the bag and unzipped it. He took out the packet. In that packet there were some pills. The pills were nothing but the sleeping pills. Aabrar took the water bottle and opened it.
In that packet there were 20 sleeping pills but he only took 12 pills on his hand from it. And Aabrar took all those pills one by one in his mouth. Although it was so hard to swallow those pills when he was taking them, but he had to. Somehow he swallowed all the pills by the help of water. His heart beat rose so fast, he clearly could hear it. He began to feel something inside his chest. His reading table was near to the window. He then took that packet and threw it outside from his open window that nobody could get a clue for his death. After closing the window, he sat on the chair. He pulled the drawer of the table and took a page from the notepad and a pen. He put his last words on the page. It was a death note for his parents.
“
Dear mom and dad,
When you are reading this letter I am far far away from you. I am so sorry for hurting you in this way. But I have to go! Cause I can’t live like a living dead. I wish I could tell you all my hidden pains that I have hid from you for my entire life. I was so afraid to tell you, because if I did then you will hate me and never forgive me for my secrets. And I couldn’t bare it all. Cause my secrets and all those pains that I am living with always hunt me. I can’t move away from it. So I have no any way left except this. Only death can make me free from all those pains.
I wish I could touch your feet and beg pardon. I am really very sorry. Please forgive me!
Good bye!
“
While writing this letter, his tears broke down from his eyes and dropped on the letter. He wrote the letter with his gel pen and the ink got wet by his tears and words got little blurry. There was nothing to do! Cause his hand was shaking so badly and getting so cold. He could barely move his hand while writing the letter on that time. He folded the letter and took it with him.
He slowly moved to the bed. There was a little table with lamp nearby his bed. On that table he kept the letter and his personal mobile. Before keeping the mobile, he kept it in silent mode. Then he turned off the room light and lit the dim light. The reaction of medicine had already begun. He felt tipsy. His head was spinning little bit, he could feel it. He then turned on his laptop which he had kept in sleep mode and began to see his family photos which saved in his laptop. His tears were still in his eyes. Cause he was going to leave the world forever. All his memories rose up inside the corner of his mind. He watched some videos which captured on special occasions.
His pains were the silent killer of himself. His pains were like wood worms which eat all the wood inside, although the wood looks well from the outside.
He turned off the laptop and managed himself to stand up. Slowly he went near to the door. From under the door, he saw no lights were coming from the other rooms but small lights came from the living room with low TV sound. He silently opened the door. He didn’t go to the living room but from there he saw that his parents were watching TV and talking to each other on different topic. He saw his parents face from there but with blurry vision. His vision was getting blurry gradually. For the last time he tried to see his parents but not clearly. Then he entered to his room and closed the door without making any sound. He locked the door so that no one can enter into his room. His room was so close to the living room and dinner room. In fact his room was the middle of those rooms with a little corridor to join them.
He gradually stepped back to his bed and fell on the bed. No noise happened that could disturb his parents. If the noise happened then his parents might save him. Now he was feeling so cold. His hands and legs were gradually getting numb. His head was spinning inside. He looked at the dim light, the light was getting more blurry and slowly his blurry vision was consumed by the darkness. He still could hear the wall clock’s moving. The tick sound of each second was getting louder. He felt that his throat was drying but he couldn’t move to drink some water to make his throat wet, cause his body was totally numb in that time. One thing he could feel that he was slowly stepping to the door of death.
Then tick sound gradually got silent and he fell into deep sleep, the sleep that no one could wake him up ever. And Aabrar stepped into the death door.
His parents were silently talking about him.
Aabrar’s mom – “Did you notice honey on the dinner table that our son was crying?”
Aabrar’s dad – “Yeah! I’ve noticed that. But don’t know what was really going on in his mind! I think I should ask him for that tomorrow morning.”
Aabrar’s mom – “Yeah you should! Cause he always shares everything with you more than me. Please do ask is he facing any troubles in his study or in his university.”
Aabrar’s dad – “Yes I will! Is he still awake?”
Aabrar’s mom – “No! He slept about an hour ago! He told me that he is so tired.”
Aabrar’s dad – “Yeah he also told me in the evening. May be for doing all those classes all together, he got tired.”
Aabrar’s mom – “Yeah! But I don’t feel so well. Because today in the noon time I accidently fell into sleep and I had a very strange dream. I am so worried, because in that dream I saw that a big sink hole washed him away. I couldn’t help him from sinking. The sink hole grasped our son in front of my eyes and I couldn’t help him! (Little crying voice)”
Aabrar’s dad – “Please! It was just a day dream honey, don’t get upset. He is fine! You are just overthinking about him. He is enough old to take care of himself.”
Aabrar’s mom – “I don’t want to think about anything except my son. Cause he is my life and you’ll
