Few times later police came to the apartment with team and took out everyone from Aabrar’s room.
Mr. Ahmed and Mr. Kamal took Mr. Rahman to the living room. All were alarmed by the police.
Mrs. Ahmed came back from Mrs. Rahman’s room and asked her husband, “Why the police are here? If they take the Aabrar’s corpse then they will make too delay to bury his body! Sometime they charge money from the family and give many assault cases on them. Who informed about it? Did you do that? (Asked silently)”
Mr. Ahmed – “I didn’t but in my thought it was Mr. Kamal, cause he’s always jealous of Mr. Rahman! And he never missed any scope to criticize him publically.”
Mrs. Ahmed – “I think you should talk to the inspector not to take Aabrar’s body for post-mortem!”
Mr. Ahmed – “I don’t think it is a wise idea! Cause if I say something then they will doubt on me about this incident. So I can’t!”
Inspector asked him, “How this thing happened?”
Mr. Ahmed – “I really don’t know! Before the last night I saw everything is Ok! But today morning when I got the mourning sound, I got to know about the fact!”
Inspector – “Do you have any suspect?”
Mr. Ahmed – “No! Not at all! He had attempted to suicide.”
Inspector – “How could you know that?”
Mr. Ahmed – “I got it from his death note!”
Inspector – “Where is the death note?”
Mr. Ahmed called his wife, because the death note was kept to her. Mrs. Ahmed handed the death note to the inspector. He read it and kept it as evidence for the further investigation.
When he went to ask Mrs. Rahman, he found that she is still not in her sense. Inspector called the ambulance for taking the body. He tried to talk to Mr. Rahman but Mr. Rahman was so quiet. He didn’t say anything.
Inspector and his team began to search his room. They searched everything but didn’t get any clue. Certainly his eyes fell onto Aabrar’s back pack. From the front chain he got a medical prescription which Aabrar forgot to keep it away. He got to know that Aabrar had been to a psychiatric doctor. The doctor prescribed him the sleeping pills for not getting enough sleep in the night and for several depressions he was in. Inspector gradually got the fact that he had taken sleeping pills. His constable opened his reading table’s drawer with force; in there he found a diary with lock. He tried to open it but failed. He gave it to the chief.
Inspector somehow broke the lock of the dairy and went to the last page where a red tape marked between the pages. There he read.
“6th September, 6:00 PM.
Dear diary!
I am not feeling well. Today is the last day I am writing in you. From next day I won’t put any complaints or any secrets or not even my sad stories in you. You know everything what really happened with me! You know all my secrets that I have hidden for a long time. I wish you could have a mouth so that at least you can tell me what to do! But I found no way to get away from this! So I am going to kill myself. Dear diary promised me, you will never disclose my secrets and the reasons from yourself. Don’t worry! I am putting a lock on you! I am not keeping the key. Because if anyone get it then they will know everything what really happened with me!
Good bye diary!“
Inspector was amazed after reading this. He thought, “It was his pre plan to kill himself! But why? Was he in the trouble with this family or his friends in university or something else! (Doubt thought)”
He couldn’t read it because he didn’t have much time to read. So he gave it to the constable to keep it as evidence in his car for future reading. He knew that if he read the whole diary then he will find out what the reason was and who was behind this suicide. “Cause none want to kill him/herself until he/she didn’t get any painful force from someone!” he thought.
Few times later, ambulance came and they took the body with them. Mrs. Rahman didn’t know that what is really happening when she is senseless. Even Mr. Rahman didn’t say a word. Mr. Kamal tried to talk to the inspector. When he got a scope, he talked alone with him.
Mr. Kamal – “Sir, I think Mr. Rahman is behind in this! Cause he didn’t love his son ever. Always he hated him. (Envy mind)”
Inspector – “What are you talking about? And how do you know about it?”
Mr. Kamal – “Yes sir! Every night I got the sound of quarrel with his son.”
Those entire things Mr. Kamal said was totally fictitious. He wanted to take the advantage of Mr. Rahman’s son’s death. He wanted to send him in jail by fraudulent information. Cause he was so crooked. The reason was the apartment. The apartment Mr. Rahman bought for them was very favorite to Mr. Kamal. He wanted to buy it but didn’t for reasons. And from that time he petted the anger and jealousy inside his mind.
The police didn’t get it. Their duty was to investigate the crime and when it is about the corrupted police they don’t miss any chance to charge money both from the victim and the criminal.
Police took Mr. Rahman with them. Mr. Ahmed had insisted them not to take him because he was not in his normal mental condition. But police didn’t listen this request. Mr. Ahmed told her family to stay with Mrs. Rahman and left with them for freeing Mr. Rahman from the police station.
There is a ritual in the society, when the society people see the police in someone’s house they begin to gather in that house and talk about the fact in their own way.
Same thing also happened here. Their neighbors gathered here and began to talk about the fact.
Some said, “He may be was in love that’s why he killed himself!” Other said, “May be his father or mother beat him or quarreled with him, that’s why for not tolerating this he committed to suicide!” Where other said, “He might be on drug! Then how could he get the sleeping pills!” So many talks, so many rumors came out from them which were not true at all.
Doctors confirmed after post-mortem that Aabrar died by taking sleeping pills. He took approximately 10-12 sleeping pills and ate them around 10:00 – 10:30 PM. For his empty stomach the pills reacted so fast in his body. He died about 13 hours ago where the present time was 1:00 PM, 7th September.
Inspector was now sure about the suicide. He told about the examine result to Mr. Rahman and began to interrogate, “How did he get the sleeping pills? And who took him to the psychiatric doctor? Was he mentally sick? (Rough voice)”
He asked him so many questions but Mr. Rahman was not in his stable mental condition. He didn’t answer those questions, he only remained silent like pale. Meanwhile Mr. Ahmed came and knew everything about the examine result. He supported Mr. Rahman, “He is not his own mental state! Please sir, let him go to the house.” Inspector didn’t listen to him. Then Mr. Ahmed called a lawyer to bail him unnecessary doubted on him and imprisonment him for a while. It all happened only for misconception that Mr. Kamal had created. They freed Mr. Rahman to go. Mr. Ahmed requested the inspector to give them the body for funeral. But police didn’t want to give them. They wanted big amount of money from them. Mr. Ahmed fulfilled their demand and told them to investigate about the suicide. They went back with the body.
Inspector began to think something is really wrong! Suddenly he remembered that he had Aabrar’s personal diary for the evidence. He asked his constable to give him back. But alas! The careless constable lost the diary. What next?
