Oasis Mirage

Oasis Mirage
I’m Azul Flow it's kind of a Portuguese name but I’m not Portuguese.

The Day started normally like any other day not that long ago actually. I was searching through a holiday book because I wanted to go on a holiday with my family plus it was my 17th birthday. So anyway i found a holiday that my mum could afford plus it looked interesting. My mother agreed that I and my sister Sam (like usual, the female gets the normal name) could go on this trip.
It was in the desert
And since i don't want to get to too much detail I will skip the week of me waiting, the long cab trip to the inner city airport, going through customs and taking off on the plane. When we took off the ground a plane assistant came up to me and stared at me. Her eyes started turning red with blood as black as the airplanes seats we were sitting on. In fear i backed up when she put her hand out. I looked at what was in her hands and it was a bag of peanuts, I looked up at her face and her eyes were normal and she asked if i wanted more nuts. Thinking what had happened also catching my breath I said no and looked out the window. After a while it started to get boring on the plane and I eventually ended up going to sleep.

In the morning we arrived at the airport and i hopped off and went through yet another set of customs got in a cab and went to the nearest town to settle in. in this town we found a nearby motel that we stayed in, the streets and buildings were dirty and sandy but inside wasn't so bad. We put our belongings into a safe and went out to explore the town. after a while we figured that the town wasn't so big and planned that we could go off and do whatever we wanted to do and meat back up in 2 hours at the motel. I and my sister Sam walked around for a bit after going into an opened church. No one was in their except Sam pointed out a figure in the room that seemed like a human pointing at me. i walked up to get a closer look and it seemed like the person had bloody eyes, i thought it was happening to me again but as i started to panic and see light like i was going to faint the man slowly turned into a Christ statue holding a book.
My sister said she did not see any of what i saw and i thought it was just a desert mirage or something but i thought it was best to go tell my mum so i went back to the motel with Sam following behind me. Strangely when i got back to where the motel was meant to be it was gone. It was confusing to me as it would be to anyone, the whole building had gone. When i turned my back Samantha which is long for Sam had gone too. i was twisting and turning in confusion and started walking out were the motel used to be and didn't stop for like it seemed to be hours and the town was nowhere to be seen. I wasn't clear on what i was doing, it was like my mind had a mind of its own and was controlling me. I kept on walking until the sky filled with darkness and the moon turned yellowish white. I found a dark place to spend the night like a cave or something. So i went in checked if nothing else lived there and went to sleep.

After a long uncomfortable night of tossing and turning from the sounds of night wolves and visions of them gouging eyes i finally awoke, and to a bright blue sky with the sun that makes the clouds look like balls of fire. Outside the cave it seemed that my eyes were laying to me but it wasn't i could see water and two palm trees, i didn't hesitate to jump into that cool water. It was fresh too so i drank a lot to keep me hydrated. When i gathered a lot of water in a bottle i started walking towards were i thought the town was. When the sun had leaned towards my back and i had walked across the sandy desert i could see figures such as people, ice-cream trucks, grassy parks and houses.
My eyes started to fog up seeing the streets of my hometown and were i lived altogether. I walked around what i thought was the desert avoiding obstacles like cars and fences which seemed so real in my mirage, i came up to my house and stared at it. I walked towards it and opened my front door, it felt so real. I walked upstairs, went into a room with a clear air breeze coming in through the doors opening. I reached out my hand and slowly pulled the door out towards me, the room was dark but I could not wait any longer. As I walked into the room I fell over a toy, or as it seemed to be a toy, the light around me was brightening in contrast and the colour turning more yellow and white, I soon hopped up and I was back in a desert all around me was nothing bat dirt and rocks, that toy slowly turned into a small boulder and my mind was turned into what I thought was not real, but it was hard to tell what was right or wrong. My mind never cleared as it was full of thought β€˜where my family could be and what the heck is going on β€˜everything seemed real, It was like I was in a paradox of planets going back and forth as if someone where picking me up and taking me there, the paradox moved swiftly and it happened fast, faster than I can realize what to do.

Now I am in search of my family in a real or not real world, searching for what to do, not knowing anything. As the days go on I soon forget everything, my name β€˜Azul β€˜slowly fades into clear mind me swapping over from place to place, from cool to hot, too hard to see too easy to see but my head still not clear on what is happening, nothing will ever be the same again this story I think about everyday as the days go on, still thinking if I’m dead or alive. Now all that’s left is to go in search through my mind for the things and answers that are pushing me towards another clue of my life, while I endure its painful strike if stress I walk, and wait for the answers to come to me.

Mirages are so; believe it and it shows things too real that you don't know what is real at all.
