building, get her out.” I ordered.

“Fuck! The buyers and their guns just went into that building too.” He said and disconnected.

I knew my Beta Niko could handle it, but Dom wanted to rush over to that side of Athens and help. I was at the northern docks waiting for Eros’ boss to make a move on a big arms shipment. He was also buying large quantities of silver bullets, which are fatal to wolves.

With the festival going on, the police would be too busy with petty crime and crowd control. This is a perfect night for the mafia agenda. No one really knew who Eros worked for, but I had a feeling deep in my gut exactly who it was. The last mafia boss was murdered ten years ago and this monster, the real beast of Greece, is the head of the crime organization now.

The boat carrying the arms was docked and my Delta Spiro, was in the water attaching explosives to the boat. I waited and watched until he was done and swam back. Spiro got in the car with me and my phone rang.

“Yes.” I answered.

“Niko has her. They’re on his bike and just left the Plaka.” Alec told me.

“Call the crew back to the pack house, Eros will be out hunting wolves tonight.” I ordered.

I pulled out of the marina and nodded my head at Spiro giving him the go ahead. He triggered the wireless detonator and the boat exploded at the dock. I looked in my rear view mirror and saw the raging inferno the boat had become.

I knew that Niko would be heading home with Raven on the back of the motorcycle. She was not going to be safe anywhere in the city. I could feel Dom getting excited to see his mate again. I wasn’t exactly sure what I was going to do with her either, it’s not like I really wanted a mate.

“We need our mate.” Dom huffed at me.

“Needing and wanting are two different things.” I snapped.

“Who will give Olympus Blood Moon an heir?” Dom nagged me.

“I don’t need a mate. Odessa can give the pack an heir.”

We drove back in silence. I thought about how young and foolish she was going into that building alone. She was Alpha born, probably from America and out to have a good time in Greece. With a stubbornness like that, she no doubt was daddy’s spoiled princess.

“She’s got kefi.” Dom told me.

I mentally rolled my eyes at him. I’m not sure why he was so soft about having a mate all of the sudden. Six years ago, I was involved with Heather, she was over the moon for me. I never really dated anyone long term, but Heather was a favorite and I probably kept her around longer than I should. She was so in love with me, she started telling people she was my mate. I knew she wasn’t my mate and had planned to break it off with her that night.

When I got back to my office, a box had been delivered to me. It was a similar styrofoam box sent when my mother died. I opened the box and found Heather’s decapitated head, just as my father had eight years prior with my mother. Rumors circulated that I had killed my mate and my family was cursed.

“Nothing is going to happen to our mate.” Dom said.

“You’re right, nothing is. I’m going to send her back home, far away.” I told him and shut him out.

We arrived back at the pack house and the patrols let me know that Niko had returned with a female. I could hear the chatter through the mind link as they entered pack territory. They thought she was beautiful, they could sense her Alpha wolf and wondered who she was.

Spiro and I waited in the office for them to get here. Alec walked in and started filling us in on the details at the Howling Dogs. All three buyers had been taken out and Eros was badly burned though we’re not sure how that happened.

I could hear Niko and her walking down the hall and approached my office door. I’m not sure how she will react when she finds out I’m her mate. She can’t scent me and if we don’t touch she won’t know, but she’s an Alpha and her senses are stronger than most wolves. One look into my eyes and she will know.

I spun my chair around and looked towards Spiro who was standing behind me. Spiro was the only mated wolf in the room with us and his mate disapproved of him masking his scent. A mate’s scent is very important to a wolf, it had the power to calm, excite and arouse.

As soon as she walked into the room her scent flirted with my nostrils. Dom was excited and it annoyed me.

“Have a seat.” Niko told her, and she sat in the chair before my desk.

I could feel her gaze on my arms. Alec stood smiling like a fool and mind linked us. “Oh yeah, she’s checking out the big bad Alpha.”

“Why am I only scenting one wolf in a room with four wolves?” She asked with no hesitation.

“Because Spiro is pussy whipped.” Alec laughed through the mind link.

“She’s very observant.” Spiro said.

“Alpha don’t be rude, turn around and be nice.” Niko told me.

“I am nice, I haven’t killed her yet.” I linked back.

“You couldn’t hurt your mate and she’s our Luna.” Niko said to me.

“Where am I? What’s the name of this pack?” She asked.

“I haven’t claimed her, she’s not the Luna.” I
