snapped back. No one outside of this room knew that she was my mate. Niko, Alec and Spiro were my best friends since we were pups, they knew how I felt about having a mate. It just wasn’t for me.

“I could just wait outside, give you more privacy, you know, so you don’t have to mind link around me.” She said.

“SIT DOWN!” I heard myself growl. Where the hell was she going, she just got here.

“Don’t scare her.” Niko linked me.

“Not until you tell me what’s going on.” She sounded annoyed.

“I’m the only reason you’re still alive and the only thing standing between you and a very angry Greek mafia. I’m not even sure if I want you alive.” I told her.

“So much for not scaring her. I can feel her anxiety now.” Niko linked me with frustration in his voice.

“Can I at least use the restroom?” She asked Niko.

“Sure, it’s right this way.” He said and took her to the restroom outside my office. “You guys talk some sense into him.” Niko linked us.

“You know boss, maybe you should just give her a chance. The Moon Goddess mates us for a reason.” Spiro said.

“She’s too young and impulsive.” I scowled.

“Look how happy Spiro and Adanna still are after four years together, that could be you.” Alec told us.

“Yeah, no thanks.” I said.

“Niko, what happened to the front of her costume, it was ripped?” Spiro asked through the link.

“What do you mean her costume was ripped? Did that bastard touch her?” I growled. I’m going to fucking kill him!

“Calm down, it was just a little rip, she could have done it climbing in the window at the Howling Dogs.” Niko said. “You know, for someone who doesn’t want her, you sure are possessive over her.”

“What’s taking so long?” I asked.

“I think she’s gone.” Niko said.

“What do you mean gone?” I stood up and moved across the room yanking the office door open.

“I-I think she went out the window.” Niko said.

“FUCK!” I kicked the restroom door open and the window was open. I looked down and her costume was laying on the ground. She had shifted.

I jumped out the window and shifted mid-air, I sniffed around and caught her scent north. I let out a howl and let my patrols know to look for her. Dom was not about to let her get away and we took off running.

Where the hell did she think she was going? Eros was going to pump her full of silver and Athens would be crawling with his thugs. Rogue wolves always went to go work for him or lived free on the islands. He was going to have every one of them looking for her. We needed to keep her out of sight and prepare for a possible rogue attack. I may not want a mate, but I also didn’t want to see her end up like Heather.

I could see a shadow of her raven black wolf; Dom was almost twice as big as her. He was enjoying the chase and pounced on her, no way she was going to escape him. He growled and she tried to run off again, he tried to push her down, but she fell back into a tree.

She stood up and bared her teeth at me with her hackles raised. She thought she could take me, I suppressed a laugh and shifted back to human form. She looked like she was seriously considering attacking me. “I will break you pup.” I told her.

That’s when I felt her eyes roaming my body. She was checking me out. I thought I saw a hint of lust in those beautiful blue eyes. Dom let out a proud howl in my head when she couldn’t rip her eyes away from my cock.

“Like what you see?” I laughed.

She shifted back and what a beautiful naked sight she was. Dom growled possessively and the other wolves averted their eyes. She held up a lighter, what was she going to do with a lighter?

“You shouldn’t play with fire little pup, you’ll burn yourself.” I joked.

“Come closer and you’ll be the one that gets burned.” She said threateningly and she flicked on a flame.

“I will kill you before you can even flinch,” I told her. Then she made the fire jump near my feet. In a flash I used my element to block it with the earth. She then held a big ball of flames in her hand, and I knew it wasn’t black magic. Her hand wasn’t burning from her flame because she was elemental.

“You will let me leave and you will not chase after me.” She said.

“You’re elemental.” I meant to ask, but it just came out as a statement.

“And I will not hesitate to use this.” She confirmed.

I shook the ground beneath her to distract her and smothered her fire with earth. Then I willed a rock to knock the lighter out of her hand. When she bent down to retrieve it, I hit her with dirt in the eyes.

Her eyes were closed, and she was crouched down on the ground. I pulled her up and when I touched her arm, my hand was tingling. We were still naked, and I fought the urge to pull her into me and kiss her all over.

Before I knew what happened, I leaned into her neck and inhaled. I almost kissed her. Raven was trouble, she was young and impulsive, and she would try to escape again. If she had continued running north passed Mount Olympus, she would have run into Eros’ pack territory.
