to find out what was uncle talking about.

β€œWho could it be? I meant Alpha Kazan from Blood Bay pack. And he is your mate. Isn't he?” Uncle replied but I just could not believe.

β€œNo. It is not true. I mean, how could it be. Kazan is not an Alpha yet.” I said out loud, but it was more like I was telling it to myself than to uncle.

β€œAnd why do you think so? Just because he studies in the same class as you? Just because he is so young to be an Alpha?” Uncle asked but except nodding, I just could not say any other words.

β€œEven though it seems impossible to you but it is what it is. Why don't you ask him yourself or are you afraid that he won't say the truth?” Uncle asked but it seemed that he just did not care to get an answer. I just stood there still while uncle proceeded further, saying,

β€œDo whatever you want to do, Summer. But get one thing very clear that Kazan is not at all someone to be trusted. So it is better if you reject him.”

Episode 35

Summer's P.O.V

β€œHow could you be so sure about the fact that Kazan is not someone to be trusted that easily?

And what do you mean that Blood Bay pack is not a friendly neighbouring pack but one of our rivals instead?” I had to ask cause this time I just did not want to assume things on my own. I did not want to be manipulated to take some irresponsible decision without knowing the truth completely. Because this time my mate's honesty was questioned and that too by my own uncle, the alpha of my pack. But my heart kept saying that uncle Benjamin might have got some wrong information about his pack.

So what, Kazan is an alpha? He was always meant to be one, if not now then later for sure. And there is nothing wrong with that.

Still, I just could not get why our packs are rivals to each other?

β€œDo I even need to tell? It seems that you know nothing, do you?” Uncle asked without bothering to answer my question straight away.

β€œWhat is there to know?” I enquired as I could not remember any reason at all for uncle's such statement about some other pack.

β€œWell, tell me first, what do you know about Blood Bay pack?” He got up from his chair and came to stand in front of me while leaning back on his desk for a bit.

β€œNothing.” I replied after realising that, indeed, I know not a single thing about Kazan's pack.

β€œThen, what do you know about your mate, alpha Kazan? I am sure you can tell this one at least? Can't you?” Uncle Benjamin's each and every word was like unveiling the very reality about all my insensibility and ignorance till now.

If I think clearly, except knowing Kazan from the same school as me, I knew nothing about him at all, neither had I ever wanted to know anything about him.

I could not say anything to answer my uncle's question, and kept standing there quietly, just like a dumb.

β€œWhat? Nothing? Not a single thing about Alpha Kazan? His past? How did he become an alpha at such a young age? What is his pack like? What kind of Alpha he is? Don't you know anything about all these, Summer?” Again I had no answers to give to his questions.

Seeing me all quiet, uncle Benjamin went on further but whatever he said, shook the earth beneath me ever so maliciously.

β€œWell, then you must be aware of one thing very clearly as the daughter of the former Alpha of our pack, Summer. That is, though I still do not have any valid proof, I strongly believe that the Blood Bay pack was surely involved with the rogues who had attacked your parents that night a few years ago. I do believe that Alpha Kazan's pack had something to do with your parent's painful death. And I will prove that someday for sure. Is this reason enough for you to reject him?” Whatever uncle said was completely new which shocked the hell out of me absolutely and indeed each of his words got engraved deep into my heart, cause it was something about those people whom I used to love the most. I lost all my ability to think if I should be angry or not, but my blood did boil without much of my awareness.

The only thing which I kept asking in my mind, for now, was why?

β€œFor what? Why someone would even do that for no reason?” My body started to tremble, recalling the vicious night. The bodies of mom and dad covered with blood which were ripped from few places ever so brutally came to my mind in an instant. I wanted to scream with all my might. But I couldn't.

β€œWhy do you think that there was no reason. Of course, there was.

Other than revenge what else it could be, my dear?” Uncle Benjamin kept saying as if it was all clear before his eyes since long. He did not even have to struggle to recall, as if he was talking about something which happened just yesterday.

β€œRevenge for what?” I did not bother to hold myself back either, from getting myself all the ideas about what else uncle Benjamin was thinking about that incident of the treacherous night all this while. I wanted to know each and every detail of what uncle got till now, even before I start to look into the matter myself which I should have done long ago.

How could I never think of that ever?

How could I never realized the importance to punish those who had dared to kill my loved ones?

Anyway,

Better late than never.

β€œIt seems that you really
