with no mercy at all.

The sight was horrible to watch but how could I look away when those two were all I had?

β€œMom!!!!! Dad!!!!!!!” I could not help but scream at last. Tears never stopped to fall from my already swollen eyes but little did I bother to wipe them away. I kept screaming like insane but it seemed that nothing could bring them back to me ever.

β€œYou shouldn't have gone out like that, Summer. Look what your irresponsibility did to all of us.

How could you even think that your mom and dad will never know what you were up to?

Yes, just when they got to know that you went to fight a rogue, they tried to stop you and went after you. But it seems that even before they could find you they became the prey of the very same rogue or maybe there was more of them.

And when they realised that they were not going to survive, your dad linked me to protect you in their absence for the rest of the life and I knew in an instant what game fate had already played this time.

Even though I rushed to your mom and dad but I was late and found them only in this condition.” Uncle Benjamin informed, announcing his presence which I had failed to notice before, as I was in no condition to even look who was there and who was not.

β€œI am sorry, dad!!! I am sorry, mom!!! I will never do that ever again. Please, come back to me. Don't leave me like this mom. Don't make me all alone Dad. Please!!!” I kept begging for just one miracle which was not at all intended to happen no matter how much I wished for.

Their still and lifeless body kept lying on the cold ground.

β€œSummer, you need to be strong from now on. Not only physically but mentally as well.” Uncle Benjamin came to me at last to comfort me a bit but nothing was enough to free me out of such guilt, nothing was enough at all to bring them back from wherever they had gone, leaving me behind all alone, only to lead a life as an orphan.

And that was when everything else started to mess up for me with the pack and the members of the Lunar High, when everyone did not even bother to wait before accusing me of their Alpha and Luna's death. I kept hearing all those hateful words from the crowd when I was still engulfed with the misery of such a great loss.

β€œYou do not deserve to be an Alpha.”

β€œYes, it is you who killed our Alpha and Luna.”

β€œYou are such a curse for our pack.”

β€œNone of us want you here anymore.”

The same dream of that cursed night again woke me up from the sleep as I opened my eyes wide while I even struggled to breathe properly for quite some time.

I was reminded once again why I should never let anyone stay close to me. Cause whoever was the dearest to my heart, ended up dying miserably because of me.

A few years had totally made me believe that I am indeed a cursed one.

And I must stay away from everyone as much as possible.

But now, how do I stay away from Kazan after all these? Even when I force myself to do so, how could I make Kazan listen to me to do the same? I know, he will never agree.

I looked out of the window, entangling my mind with a lot of thoughts.

It was still dark outside.

Yes, we slept through the evening only to stay awake the whole night.

I sat up on the bed slowly, grabbing the only piece of cover on me carefully with one hand which was saving me from being completely naked.

I turned around to see that the bedside lamp somehow stayed on the whole night and the bright light was directly falling on Kazan's face and disturbing him in his peaceful sleep.

Yes, he stayed.

Even though I was never intended to bind my mate together with my unfortunate fate, the stupid heat did not let me flee and I was compelled to do all those things with Kazan which I was always afraid of.

We completed the mating. And he was a beast indeed. Cause my whole body was still aching, but the deadly pain due to the heat was gone for sure.

I recalled once again all those words which Kazan had said to me today. Even though I still could not believe whatever I had heard but as I can see I had no reason not to believe.

He loves me.

And I saw his eyes which kept telling me the whole time, how true his each and every word was.

Once again I turned to see my mate who was still sleeping beside me. I wanted to run my fingers through his dark brown hair, badly. His perfect nose bridge, his sharp jawline and the seductive lips were like compelling me to touch him again. And I loved his dusky skin the most which were now seeming just like gold under the light from the lamp. And... And his eyes are the best...the blue was just like some ocean...deep and deadly. I wanted to see his eyes too but felt a bit sad thinking that he was sleeping right now, so I could not see.

But no.

I was wrong.

Just when I stretched my hand to turn off the light, I was trapped in those seductive blue eyes once again.

Yes, Kazan was awake.

β€œDid you like what you saw?” His deep but a bit hoarse voice appeared totally seductive to my ears as I nodded my head like a dumb, without realising what I was relaying.

His most precious smirk confirmed that he was more than
