illness until she died of typhus in 1848. Although she was primarily motivated by financial gain, Dyer was mentally unstable and suicidal; her daughter, Polly, reportedly explained that Dyer was “sending little children to Jesus because He wanted them far more than their mothers did.”

It’s difficult to try and wrap our minds around the deep-rooted fantasies and motives that push people to kill. Some serial killers, like Albert Fish, were groomed for brutality at a young age; others, like Kraft, mystify us because of their surface-level normalcy.

Recent studies indicate that serial killings peaked in the 70s and 80s, and they have been on a steep decline since then. But for as long as serial killers exist, so too will our quest to understand the factors that brought them to murder.

7 Crime Stoppers Who Were Just Not Having It

Note: I am damn bored and the only think which helps me is this crime

BY ED SMITH ON JANUARY 25, 2017

Crime is a serious issue. Although crime rates have dropped by approximately 16% since 2006, statistics don’t really matter when it happens to you. So what can you do when confronted with a criminal?

The fight-or-flight response will probably make that call for you on the spot, but if you really want to make sure that you can be an effective crime stopper, being prepared is the best defence against a criminal.

With an Instant Checkmate membership, you can access a database featuring millions of public records. A background report can reveal criminal records, arrest histories, social media profiles, contact information, and much more. Want to learn more about your daughter’s date? Are you buying something used from Craigslist? We’ve got you covered.

You can also search your area for sex offenders, and check to see if any of your neighborhoods or acquaintances have a dangerous past. According to ADT:

The typical burglar lives 2 miles from their target’s home and knows their victim Most burglars also have prior convictions, such as robbery, drug-related charges, or assault.

In a stunning statistic, the National Institute of Justice reported that 80-90% of college women reporting sexual assault also knew their attacker.

So the next time someone gives you a bad feeling, pull up your Instant Checkmate account and see what skeletons they may be hiding in their closet. Now you can download the Instant Checkmate app and background check on the go!

Man Picks Wrong Woman To Harass

A sexual predator in China was caught on CCTV harassing a woman in an elevator … but he barely brushes her shoulder before this lady opens a big can of whoop-ass! It’s not the first time that an unexpected elevator fight went viral on the internet. Check out this little girl taking down a fully grown man in this insane CCTV footage:

Welcome To The Church Of Hard Knocks

A gunman in South Carolina got a little more than he bargained for when he brought a shotgun to church. Jesse Gates, 38, retrieved a loaded shotgun from the boot of his car before kicking in the church doors during a Sunday service. But Gates didn’t know that the preacher’s son, Aaron Guyton, had already seen Gates get the gun. Guyton, who had a concealed carry permit, leapt into action.

Guyton held Gates at gunpoint while two churchgoers held the man down. Rev. Henry Guyton jumped down from the pulpit and disarmed the would-be shooter. No shots were fired, and police arrived at the scene to arrest Gates.

Man Performs Citizens Arrest On Drunk Driver — Who Happened To Be A Cop

What would you do if you saw a police car driving erratically? Russell George, a South African man, had to perform a citizen's arrest after it became obvious that a local cop was driving under the influence … and into oncoming traffic. When the van came to an abrupt stop, George went over to the vehicle to make sure everything was okay.

“He suddenly jammed on his brakes and came to a complete stop. I got out of my car and went towards him, and I asked him if he knew what he was doing. He started his car and carried on driving,” George told a local newspaper.

When the police van once again started driving dangerously, George dialed the South African equivalent of 911.

“After five minutes, no one had arrived,” said George. “I jumped out of my car and I approached the driver's side and asked him to come out. He looked at me and I could smell that he had been drinking. I asked him again, and he refused. I then grabbed his keys, pulled him out, and locked him in the back of his own van.”

Khanyi Mnikathi witnessed the events. “He was quite sloshed. He was weak enough for him to be pulled out and into the back of the van.”

When the authorities arrived to find a (drunk) coworker locked in the back of his own police van, the fellow cops were reportedly “quite embarrassed.”

The drunk officer was arrested and charged with both a DUI and reckless driving. A High School Massacre Avoided In 1997, two years before the Columbine massacre shook America, another shooting occured in Mississippi. At Pearl High School, 16-year-old Luke Woodham brutally butchered his mother in the early morning before taking a rifle to his high school. Woodham murdered two students and injured seven.

Vice Principal Joel Myrick, who also had a concealed carry permit, grabbed his gun from his truck and managed to detain Woodham at gunpoint until the cops arrived.

Avoid Elderly British Ladies If Crime Is On Your Mind

The Brits aren’t having it. There are several stories about English pensioners battling off burglars, including that of 77-year-old Winifred Peel. While withdrawing cash at an ATM, three men attempted to rob Mrs. Peel. She grabbed one of her attackers and “repeatedly bashed” his head against the ATM.

"I bashed him into the wall as hard as I could, three times. I just thought, 'You're not taking my money, young man,'” she told the Daily Mail afterward. The other robbers fled in terror, but all were eventually caught by the police.

Who Is Todd Kohlhepp? We Pull His Background Report And Investigate

 Note: Background pulling out!

BY ED SMITH ON JANUARY 25, 2017

Woodruff, South Carolina: On Thursday, Nov. 4, South Carolina police officers found Kala Brown, a 30-year-old woman who had been missing since late August. Although she was alive, Brown had been chained around the neck and locked in a storage container. She was discovered on the property of a convicted sex offender and suspected serial killer, 45-year-old Todd Kohlhepp.

Brown disappeared with her boyfriend, 32-year-old Charlie Carver, on Aug. 21. Family members reported the disappearance as suspicious, due to Brown leaving her beloved Pomeranian at home with no food or water. Brown’s mother, Bobbie Newson, told Dateline, “That dog is her baby. She’d never leave him like that.”

Nobody heard from Brown or Carver until a string of mysterious updates on Carver’s Facebook account aroused more suspicion from the couple’s loved ones.

The Phantom Facebook Account

Carver was never an active Facebook user. But suddenly his profile came alive, at first declaring that the couple were married and assuring friends they both were well. Then the posts became stranger. A series of violent memes were posted, along with the following lyrics from The Eagle’s song “Hotel California”:

Last thing I remember, I was running for the door.

I had to find the passage back to the place I was before.

“Relax,” said the nightman. “We are programmed to receive.

You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.

Carver’s account reposted old photographs of the couple, which seemed to lull some into a false sense of security about the couple’s wellbeing.

(Note: Don't you get it... #ThereWillBeBLood Movie, don't you get man?

... NObody can do anything!?)

“It’s getting people thinking they are found, but they are not,” Carver’s mother told NBC.

In late October, police officers were following up a lead at the residence of Todd Kohlhepp, where one officer heard noises coming from a metal storage container on-site. Inside, they found Brown. Carver’s vehicle was also on the property, driven into a ravine and covered with brush. It was later revealed that Brown had been hired by Kohlhepp to clean several of his properties, but when she arrived at his residence with Carver, Kohlhepp fatally shot him and kidnapped her.

Carver’s body was discovered in a shallow grave on the property, along with seven other unidentified bodies.

After Kohlhepp was arrested, he confessed to the unsolved murders of four people at a motorcycle shop in 2003, which was dubbed the “Superbike Murders.” The remaining bodies found on his property were identified as Meagan and Johnny Coxie, a young couple who had been missing for a year. Police are also searching his previous residences for any signs of foul play. Currently, Kohlhepp is facing charges for kidnapping and four counts of murder, although that should rise to at least five with the discovery of Carver’s body and Brown as an eye witness.

Who Is Todd Kohlhepp?

We pulled Kohlhepp’s Instant Checkmate report. At face value, he seemed like a fairly regular guy. His LinkedIn profile shows that he worked as a real estate agent, with an “interest” in helping the community.

The foreshadowing in his interests is terrifying — from the Superbike murders to his property filled with cadavers. But, if you didn’t know what crimes he was capable of committing, would his interests be suspicious? Probably not.

If Kohlhepp’s customers had only googled his name, there would be nothing sinister to report. But after pulling his background report, there were definite signs that something was amiss.

Namely, kidnapping.

After we downloaded a Premium Report, available for a small additional fee, more information was available regarding the nature of his kidnapping charge:

(P.S. - Instant CheckMate - Gonna give you the chance to check out each person background... BEFORE YOU GO OUTSIDE WITH THIS PERSON - OF COURSE.)

But that wasn’t the extent of Kohlhepp’s report. Instant Checkmate can pull social data from several data points: one of these is a person’s Amazon wishlist A helpful tool to find gifts for loved ones — or a surprising way to see another side of someone’s character.

This is what we found on Kohlhepp’s Amazon wishlist:
