While Driving Late At Night, This Driver Was Haunted By A Hooded Figure

 DECEMBER 8, 2015  β€”  By Tim Unkenholz

This is the kind of scene you'd see in a horror movie. During a midnight drive just north of Sydney, Australia, a man noticed a hooded figure eerily approaching the vehicle with his head down. The motorist decided to pull away just in time for the figure to let out an insane scream.

Time to kick things into gear!

To add to the creepiness, the driver's wife was behind him in another vehicle. When he tried to warn her, he couldn't get through, and he later learned that the hooded figure swiped at her car in a similar fashion. The only possible clue to the man's identity is the fact that a man bearing that description was arrested in the area for drug possession.

Freak Yourself Out With 13 Chilling Quotes From The Best Horror Writer Of All Time

 NOVEMBER 22, 2015  β€”  By Tim Unkenholz

Like many artists throughout the ages, H.P Lovecraft's work was never truly appreciated until long after his death. Although it is a sad fact, it also deepens his writing's dark mystique.

He was always regarded as a strange recluse who could never scratch out a living as a writer...but now he is considered one of the most significant 20th century authors in the horror genre (if not THE most). Here are some of the most haunting quotes form Lovecraft's work that only legitimize the long-dead writer's rule as the king of horror.

"The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear. And the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown." β€” Lovecraft on horror.

Imgarcade

"Searchers after horror haunt strange, far places" β€” from "The Picture in the House"

Galleryhip

"That is not dead which can eternal lie, And with strange aeons even death may die." β€” from "The Call of Cthulhu"

Momentum Books

"Ocean is more ancient than the mountains, and freighted with the memories and the dreams of Time." β€” from "The White Ship"

Imgarcade

"Blue, green, grey, white, or black; smooth, ruffled, or mountainous; that ocean is not silent." β€” from "The White Ship"

Wattsupwiththat

"I have looked upon all that the universe has to hold of horror, and even the skies of spring and the flowers of summer must ever afterward be poison to me." β€” from "The Call Of Cthulhu"

Wikiquote

"The other gods! The other gods! The gods of the outer hells that guard the feeble gods of earth!... Look away... Go back... Do not see! Do not see!" β€” from "The Other Gods"

Tentaclii

"Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn. (In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming.)" β€” from "The Call of Cthulhu"

"As human beings, our only sensible scale of values is one based on lessening the agony of existence." β€” Lovecraft on life

Wikiquote
