Teasing Weather

The day is warm and spring like
a cushion against the cold weather
We are having a respite from the winter
storms.
When the clouds opened and poured down
so mercilessly day after day.


The way a woman’s tears fall
with the loss of a loved one.

Melodic sounds of birds filling the air
taking turns at this grand fountain.
Bowing in appreciation,
then darting about excited
for the warmth of the sun.


The green vines are woven and fashioned
by your loving hands into a swing.
Gliding across the bursting garden beneath.
Unable to resist the sight of the chair,
allowing me to be swallowed up.


With the fragrant air filling my lungs
with this amazing lightness.
