Chapter One - Bitchy Me

I was irritated when a loud bang hit on my front door. “What!?” I groaned and cover my eyes to the annoying sunlight from my open window. I shifted to my side to put my body comfortably to my queen size bed with midnight blue cover underneath me. I closed my eyes again and ready to fall back into sleep but sadly, that never happen.

I felt my body moving back and forth along with the slow music in the background. Squeezing my eyes shut tightly and fisted my hand irritably while gripping the sheet that covers my face. I sat up on my bed and shouted to someone who disturbed my peaceful time.

“What the fucking hell do you want?” I roared angrily.

Dina, a small petite woman that has black short hair and tanned skin was terrified looking at my angry face. “I’m sorry, princess. But you have to wake up now and get ready before you’ll attend the meeting.” Shaky breathless voice rang inside my sensitive ears.

I cursed silently and glancing back to Dina. “First of all, my name is Aisha and not princess. We aren’t living in a fairy land. Second, if I ever hear that formal shitty baby name of yours you will be fired from your job. Third, don’t disturb me when I was asleep. Fourth, don’t you ever tell me what to do Ms Dina; I’m not your sister and obviously not your puppet; and the last but not the least, why didn’t you tell me yesterday that I have a meeting today so that I can readjust my alarm clock earlier?” shooting daggers in her direction make her cringed.

I almost feel sorry for her.

I can see her sweaty face and shaken body in the corner of my eye while fixing my night dress to go to the shower and get ready. “I…I-I’m sorry, prin-… I mean Ms Aisha. But Anna wasn’t here today and she texted me to tell you about the meeting today.” Lowering her head for being embarrassed she continues, “I’m so sorry Ms Aisha. I promise that I will not do stupid things again.”

I stood up and walk to my drawer to look for a dress to wear. “Oh, I see. So you’re the new messenger of Anna then, huh?” I said glancing slightly at her direction. “You should feel sorry for yourself for doing her job that wasn’t yours.”

Before I open the door to my bathroom, I heard her sighed and step back twice before turning her back and exit my room. I felt sorry for her for being a bitch at her in the early of the morning. I sighed in defeat and turn my back to stop Dina from walking.

“Hey!” I start. She turned around and looked me in the eye. I can see hurt flashing in her big brown eyes. “Look, I’m sorry Dina if I treated you badly this morning. I didn’t mean to be a bitch to you. You’re my favourite maids inside this hellhole place and I fucked up last night, so I wasn’t in the mood today. I’m sorry.” You see, I’m not really a bitch Chihuahua but apologising to someone is not my thing…at all. It feels like someone stabs me in the heart with ten knives without burying below the ground. Hey, everyone has a pride.

I thought she’ll just keep quiet and walk out my room, but I meet her eyes and a small smile tugged on her full lips. “It’s alright Ms Aisha. I’ll be waiting outside.”

I nodded and walk back to the bathroom to get ready.

Chapter Two - The Horror Meeting

Clicking noise echoed inside the room when I take every step down to the living room. Dina was walking quietly beside me and keeps her little head down looking on the ground like it was the most interesting thing in the world.

Our house was full of people…well, not actually full because our house was enormous and fifty maids were not enough to describe our house like a sardines can. Yes, fifty maids and my dad were still looking for another maid. Geez, God only knows why he need that many it irritates me.

Inside the house or people usually call it a gigantic mansion, my father have a hundred rules. Yes, you’re not blind because it’s actually right, a hundred rules and one of them are to line up in the hall until mum, and dad and I were awake. Well, obviously that rule wasn’t for me, it’s for our maids.

When they saw me walking they all bow down their heads in sync as a respect and it’s pretty cool because they did it at the same time, no one was late even a second. But it still looks old fashion to me though. My dad is really an old fashion man, lucky I’m not like him.

I nodded my head once as a response and continue walking ‘til I reach the seminar room. Mr Black greeted me a good morning, his bass tone makes me think that maybe he is scary and strict to his children. I replied and flashed him a warm smile, he grab the door handle and push it open to reveal twenty men sitting in the leather black chair around the oblong wooden-glass table. Everyone was having a conversation until I step forward and the click noise of my 6 ft. inches heels resounded inside the room.

Silence spread around the room with a flash like a lightning and twenty pairs of eyes was on me, including my father. I walked nervously to my favourite spot and everyone greeted me with a smile.

My father cleared his throat to get everyone’s attention and all of them looking to my father with those business formal shit faces. I hate doing shit like that. Honestly, I’m not really a business person, heck…my dad even think that I am a lesbian or something. I don’t know, what on earth did he put inside his brain to think such a thing like that but I’m pretty sure that my attitude being a non-socialise person is counted on this.

“We all know the reason why I call you all today and we all know that we’re blessed to have luxury life for our family.” My father started his priestly speech. “My beautiful daughter here,” he said gesturing to my direction “will be starting her new life as a real woman the next day after tomorrow with Clifford – the son of Mr Arnault.” I hate it when he always emphasizing the woman thingy.

I tried to speak but was cut off to my dad’s big mouth, “And tonight, will have a party here inside my house to celebrate my daughter’s new life.” He waves a hand to Glenn – dad’s P.A.

Glenn, pull out a thick invitation papers and give it to each person around the table except dad and I.

Okay, maybe you thought that my father hated me as his daughter because the way he treated me, am I right? Well, actually sort of like that but not really, do you know what I mean? Let me describe this clearly to you. You ready?

Okay…I’m not actually my father’s only child. I have a brother but when a dark tragedy spells our parents for keeping secrets to us, my brother finds out the whole truth that we’re not just a normal rich, famous, celebrity people but a powerful, dangerous uniter; though not as dangerous and powerful as the royal people – which are the last angels that lives in the earth. Yes, sweetheart we’re like super natural humantastic creature that exist in the earth. That’s why my brother left us because he doesn’t want to become a freak and he want to live his normal life as a human being.

My father loves me but we’re not close as mum and I were. Dad forces me to join the people that he knows and introduced me to everyone. He knows I hate being introduced to those freaking strangers but he still do it anyway.

My family lose hope when I turned 16 years-old and never found my power. But when I turned 17 I found out that I actually have a power but I never let my parents know about it. I keep it as a secret on my own.

Everyone in the room began standing off to their seats and shaking each other’s hands. I walk to where my dad sat on the chair, drinking champagne on a skinny wine glass.

“Why didn’t you tell me that you’re throwing a party for…me?” I asked a bit suspicious to my dad. I have no idea what game he was planning about.

My dad chuckled lowly, “Sweet cheeks, I’m just being nice to my beautiful and only child.” He said smiling, whilst toying with his wine glass and moving his hand back and forth that the wine run into the side of the glass into clockwise.

I frown, “But dad, Lionel is your son too.” A sickening feeling replace my hard one. I missed my brother. Every night I always dream about him, to our happy moments and when I cry he was there to wipe my tears away sang me a song called ‘Lily of the Valley’.

Dad smashed his hand on the table so hard that almost break into half. Everyone become quiet, looking at us with utter confusion and horror on their faces. “I thought we already talk about this Aisha. You don’t have a brother anymore.”

To be honest, I’m afraid to my father especially when he became a hundred percent immortal creature. I swear, his scarier than the freaking volcanic eruption. Everyone feels the same as I am.

I lowered my head, totally shaking. “I’m sorry father. I will not do it again.” Apologizing and using father name is the best thing to say if you value your life.

His features softened and hugged me a little bit tight for me. “It’s alright. I’m sorry sweet cheeks. Please don’t be mad to daddy.” His hand rubbing my small back and I felt more comfortable under his hold.

You see, there were some personalities that my father and I shared together and one of that is, we become angry but forgive them for a few minutes. We never planted hatred feelings to our enemies – even though they were completely evil. Well, that’s what I observed so far.
