Chapter One
We had lunch and then the kids went to play for a while, Lynn and I were sitting in the back terrace, the day was beautiful, looking at Lynn I knew she was far more attractive than I and sometimes wonder how John could fall in love with me and not her but the truth is that they did connect but as friends, she always laughed at his jokes and more than once she would plead his innocence when John and I fought.
"I can't believe is three years", she looked at the wedding ring on my finger.
"I still think he is going to come back from one of his trips", she had tears in her eyes, she loved him dearly and knew how happy I was being married to him.
"I don't know how you had cope with all of this", Lynn grabben her heart necklace from her neck and play with it.
"Is not easy, I do it for Johnny Jr., I don't want him to see me sad all the time, he deserves to be happy", Lynn took my hand and I felt her warmth, she was such a great friend.
"You are such a good mother, you were always such a good wife too"
"Is all about love Lynn, is hard to cope without John around, he gave me so many things to feel happy about", Lynn knew that I didn't want to find another man, she knew how deep my love for John was and that all I wanted was to be a good mother to Johnny Jr.
"Is true Anne is all about love, I couldn't live without James, he is my everything, I do admire you"
"I think God always give us strengh, he does, believe me I have to put up with people that want me to date again, I hate people telling me that I have to go on, that he is gone, Lynn, I don't want to"
"Don't listen to them, just do what you feel like doing, your love was too big to forget, I understand", My eyes were filled with tears so Lynn knew it was time to change the topic of conversation.
"James and I are going to Vegas next week"
"Oh really, what for?"
"James have to see an executive of his record label and we are going to have a few days as vacation too"
"It sounds good, you need a little time to play around", she laughed, I love the way she laughed so honestly, Lynn was that friend that really helped me cope with John's death, without her I would it have given up on so many things, she was my best friend.
