my brother. Good luck for me.
I’m starting to drive the car. In some ways I’m determining to pursue my plan, no matter what they said. I’m heading to Laguna Beach, California, it would not take me too long to drive it, and it’s not that far from L.A.
I notice that a car is following me; I look through the rearview mirror to see who it is. The car that’s follows me is blowing its horn. “What the fuck!” I muttered to myself. I park the car along the side of the driveway.
Someone gets out from the car. A girl.
I roll down my window, “what is the problem miss?”
“Haven’t you notice me?” she says.
Oh, come on! I tilted my head as hard as I can. Asabila is following me. Why? “What the hell are you doing?”
“Helping you.”
I climb out from the car. “Why?”
“She is my friend, and I’m helping you to save her,” she said.
Asabila lie to her parents. Of course she can’t come with me this is serious. And she thinks she is strong enough to fight. “How about your parents?”
“They understand me.”
“Liar! Your excuse to them is that you have an educational trip in Washington for weeks. And don’t try to lie on me again, I can read your mind,” I said.
Asabila try to stop me from getting inside the car. “Look, I know you think I’m weak, but I’m not.”
“Really? And when are you starting reading my mind?” I tease her, I love teasing on her, because I know she will just pissed off.
“I promise, I will not be a liability on this.” The tone of her voice sounds like she is begging.
I cross my both arms. “Prove it to me.”
Asabila, step backward, she spread her arms and trying to focus. She closes her eyes hardly, after a moment she lifts up my car. She lifts my car? Home come she can do that? No, my eyes only betray me, but it doesn’t she really lifted up my car on the air.
I step closer to her, “hey, are you the one who did that?” I whisper.
She opens her eyes and my car is on the ground again. “Yes,” she says, trying to meet my eyes. “And I have powers, I can move the things without touching them.”
Powers? Like ability? Come on! As far as I know only Paul, Elisa and I have the power, even the member of High Councils of Eternals don’t have one. Even the older one, they don’t have powers, only the three of us. I’m jealous now. I can’t believe she did that, I think she has greater power than me. “When do you know you have a power? And how come?”
“Not so long ago. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor notice that there is something special on me, and that is moving the things without a direct touch by me,” she said. “And when they found out that I have a power, they teach me how to use it in a right way and I’m only allowed to use it when it’s emergency. They don’t want me to tolerate myself that I’m superior to anyone else because of my power.”
“Well said, Asabila. But how come you have a power?” I ask.
“Why, is that bad?” she asks.
“Don’t answer my question with a question,” I said firmly.
“Well, I don’t know. Is that a problem if I have power? I think you need my powers now, and I don’t see any problem of that!” She shouted.
“Would you stop shouting?” I give her a dreadful look.
“I’m sorry. So, what is your decision? Can I come with you?”
“Yes,” I said. And I can see her face that she is really happy, she thinks she will come with me to the mall for shopping, on this dangerous rescue. “But, before you give me that happy face I’ve got to tell you my several rules.”
She put her hands on her hips. “Rules? You have rules? You are not the president of the United States of America, why would you give me some rules?”
“Because I’m 180 years old vampire and I can kill you easily without mercy.” I snap on her. So when I notice she is frightened on my threat and when she has nothing to say I take advantage to continue my presidential speech. “First, don’t speak when you are not ask to speak. Second, don’t try to make a scene or else you’ll be dead on me. Third, follow what I said. Do you understand?”
“Yes, I understand. Is that all?”
“Yes,”
“I’m glad you only have three rules.”
From all the people I didn’t expect that Asabila is the one helping me. I thought it would be Paul and Jennycris. It must be Paul and Jennycris. Not Asabila. But Asabila has the right to find her friend Elisa; after all they are like sisters.
“Yes, that is only my first three rules. Along the way I’ll tell you my next 97 rules.”
I can remember how Elisa beg me to save Asabila. “Ian, please save her. She is dying.”
“No, I can’t” I don’t want to save Asabila, for the fact that she has no use in my life.
A gun at the jewelry store shot Asabila, when there is robbery going on that moment.
“Another pain on the ass, if I’m going to turn her into a vampire. Do you understand that?” I said firmly.
Elisa eyes are streaming of liquid tears. She is crying like a baby and begging me to save Asabila like a child. I see anger on her face to me, even though I love her that much, I still don’t want to turn Asabila into one of us.
“Well, if you can’t save her, maybe I could save her.”
She is insane at the same time desperate. “Do you have any idea, how painful not to take all her blood?”
The only way to turn someone into a vampire is that that person should drink the blood of the vampire after you drink the blood of the vampire you must experience death to be able to live in the undead world. Sounds so easy but it’s difficult to do it. It takes for years to practice it.
“I can do it.” Another voice came in.
And it’s Paul.
“I can do it, Elisa,” said Paul.
“Really? Well, thank you so much, Paul.” Then Elisa looks at me again like she wanted to kill me.
I can’t do it; the only person that I turn into is Elisa. I promise to myself that if I turn someone into a vampire that someone would be the person that I will love forever. It’s sounds so selfish, but it’s my own perspective.
