If we can get to Darius, we can stop them.” said Jolent.
“How do we get to Darius?” asked Aralina.
“Methuen, do you think that you can do that?” asked James.
“No.” said Methuen.
“That’s helpful. Couldn’t you at least try?” asked Kaliea.
“Nope.” said Methuen. “He will just tell the princess and red hair to come back to help him, and I will get hit in the back, and the guts.”
“That’s true.” said Jolent. “We need some way of taking out the princess, and Drake, before we get Darius.”
“I got it.” said Megdelia, who had been sitting in thought for a while. “Each one of us gets behind a pillar. When Kat and Drake come, we hit them with our magic to distract them, and Simolia can do ice, while Methuen can do a spell that puts them out for a little while. Darius should be no problem after that.”
“Good idea, Megdelia.” said James. “Oh, and Methuen, after that, could you help my mom? She is stuck to the chair.”
The queen rolled her eyes.
“Yup.” said Methuen.
Just then, everyone heard Drake and Katalia getting near. The fairies flew up, and Jolent, Nathentex, and Methuen ran behind pillars.
“Hey!” called Megdelia, emerging from her pillar.
“Over here!” yelled Kaliea, emerging from hers.
“I’m right here!” shouted Simolia. She flew out from her pillar.
“Yeah!” called Aralina called, as she flew out into the open.
“Can you catch us?” taunted James, as he flew out from behind his pillar.
“Right here!” Collin yelled, flying quickly out of hiding.
Jolent and Nathentex jumped out from behind their hiding places.
Katalia and Drake turned around, and looked confused.
“Just shoot them all!” Darius screamed, but it was too late. Simolia and Methuen had shot their magic, and hit the two adolescents, sending them flying back, and they landed on the stairs leading to the thrones, unconscious.
“Do you think that that was too much?” asked Simolia.
“I think that it might have been.” said Aralina worriedly.
“You fiends!” screamed Darius. “You could have killed them!”
“We will give you another chance to surrender.” said Collin. “If you say yes, we might be a little light on you.”
“I refuse!” said Darius. “It would be most embarrassing. Besides, I still have the upper hand. I am a great master of magic. You are young fairies, elves, a gnome, and a not very accomplished magician, who just fired a wrong spell at those two young people over there.”
The adolescents stared at Methuen.
“You fired a wrong spell?” they asked in horror. “What did you do to them?”
“Um, sleeping spell that only wakes you up when you master is defeated.” answered Methuen, with uncertainty.
“When would you learn that spell? It’s too easy to defeat someone if you knew that spell.” said Aralina.
“Methuen, what did you do to my sister?” James asked. “And how?”
“Um, made it up?” Methuen said.
“When?!” asked everyone.
“Now.” said Methuen.
Everyone groaned. Then they noticed that Darius was inching away. Simolia shot ice out of her hand, and two feet to Darius’s left, where he was heading.
“Don’t even think about it.” said James.
“Think about what?” asked Darius, trying to sound innocent, but not pulling it off very well.
“Methuen, Simolia, can you make something together, that will freeze him for a very long time?” asked Jolent.
“Hopefully, if Methuen actually does some magic that he knows.” said Simolia.
“Freezing? Yes. Freeze for a long time?” Methuen thought about that for a minute. “Yes.”
“You sure?” asked Simolia.
“Yes.” answered Methuen. “On three.”
“I’ll count.” said Collin. “Ready? One...two...three!”
Simolia and Methuen both fired their magic at the same time. Darius froze in mid talk, and fell to the ground. He was immediately covered in a frost. The frost turned to ice, and the ice turned into a big block of what looked like glass. When they touched it, it also felt like glass, but it was very cold, and they could barely see Darius.
King Minas appeared in the room, and looked around. “What happened?” he asked.
Before anyone could say anything, the queen emerged from the pillar that she was behind.
“I am free.” she said.
“Yeah, Mom.” said James shakily, and he walked over to her, and hugged her.
The doors opened, and the guards, and many more came out. Some of them were dressed in the lizard guard clothes. They explained that when they were sent to check on Darius, he turned them into lizards, and made them do his work for him.
Everyone was talking, and laughing, so they didn’t notice Kat and Drake moving, until Kat saw Drake, and screamed. She was laying right next to him.
Everyone turned, and saw Kat and Drake, quickly get up, and step away from each other. Kat tripped on the edge of her long gown, and fell down the stairs. When Drake stepped back, he stepped right off of the stair that he was on, and he also fell down the stairs. Kat looked at Drake, and smiled. He gave her a timid smile back. Then they cracked up.
Everyone’s hearts sank. Katalia and Drake were still underneath the spell. They had failed.
The two kids looked around them. Their countenances turned to confusion. Drake opened and closed his mouth a couple of times.
Then he said, “Wasn’t I in the hall with Dad?”
“No.” said Kat. “You were in the hall, and Darius was talking to me after dinner.”
“We had just finished breakfast.” said Drake.
“This is weird. What am I doing in here? I was in the dining room.” said Kat shakily.
“Kat? Is it you?” asked the queen.
“Mom?” said Katalia. “Dad? James? Collin? Girls?”
“It’s okay, Kat.” said King Minas. “We found you.”
“What- what are you guys doing here?” asked Kat weakly.
“We came to rescue you.” said Collin.
“Did you?” asked Katalia.
“Why wouldn’t we?” asked Megdelia.
“No. Did you rescue me?” corrected Kat.
“Mostly.” said Methuen, “I think there might be a major meltdown for these two, once they know that they have been out for almost two days, under a spell.”
“We were what?!” Drake practically yelled.
“Uh, yeah, about that,” started Simolia. The rest of the group explained that the two were almost married and they started to freak out.
“WHAT!” Drake yelled this time.
“I....was almost....what?” Katalia fainted, and James caught her.
“Wow, I hope she’s going to be okay!”
Methuen spoke up, “Like I said, major meltdown!”
They walked out of the room, and saw the big black monster. It was chewing something, and spit it out. When everyone looked closer, they saw a red uniform. The very one that Draco was wearing.
The big black monster looked up and roared. It turned around, and ran out of the castle, and into the mountains.
“I think that it is scared of me.” said Simolia.
“Nah.” said Collin. “You only froze its head. I was chucking rocks at it. It is all my fault. The poor beast is scared of me.”
Everyone laughed, and walked out of the palace. They were faced with the trouble of getting back to Fairytropolis. The fairies could fly, but Hosily, Nathentex, Jolent, Methuen, the guards, Drake, and Kat couldn’t. Kat couldn’t because she was still under her meltdown, and she wouldn’t wake up. They decided to take pegusi for those who couldn’t fly. There were enough for everyone, including Megdelia and Collin and Simolia. Everyone thought that they should ride, just in case they passed the six hour limit, and went back to unconsciousness. Collin rode on a Pegasus with Kat, so that she wouldn’t fall off.
When they got back to the castle, the king and queen decided to throw a celebration, because they all came back alive.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
A celebration was issued after a four day rest for those apart of the rescue and those captured. After six hours the group Collin, Megdelia, and Simolia where in a lot of pain so they really didn’t matter if they were sentenced to the castle or not they just wanted to lay down and stay down.
James got grounded, which he was actually glad of for he got served breakfast, lunch and dinner in his room, and he was allowed to sleep as long as he wanted.
The others weren’t so lucky. They had to stay in the castle they couldn’t even go outside. That made Aralina restless. She wanted to feel the soil in between her fingers. And to smell of flowers, and the fresh air.
Kaliea kept herself busy, or should I say the King and Queen kept her busy sewing a wedding dress for the princess’ and mending the rest of the guards uniforms.
After the pain subsided, Simolia started to do her regular duties, only she wasn’t allowed to go into the library in that time. She was devastated.
Megdelia was also restless after ward she and Hosily wanted to be outside as well stretching and running. Octavious was allowed to visit, and of that, Megdelia was extremely happy for.
Jolent, Nathentex, Methuen, and Collin kept themselves busy in Methuen’s laboratory- cleaning, catching stray experiments, and more cleaning. Even though Collin didn’t say anything, everyone knew that he was extremely nervous about the wedding coming up.
After Katalia woke up, she was also forbidden to leave her room, she couldn’t even see her friends, who were very anxious to see her. But wouldn’t until the end of the four days when she would walk down the aisle and the week of celebration would begin. She was not at all happy with her parents decision to ground her. They told her that she needed rest, and her response was, “Mom! Dad! I was asleep for two whole days! I got enough rest!” But they wouldn’t listen.
Drake, was adopted into the royal family of which they were all excited about. Katalia and Drake were still a little hesitant about each other, after being almost married.
Darius was locked in a small room in the dungeon. He was still in his ice block, and the room that he was locked in was iron. Thanks to Methuen, there were no doors. As soon as Darius was placed inside, the door disappeared. He wouldn’t be getting out for a long time.
As the end of the fourth day came to a close. There was a knock on all of the groups doors. They were all summoned to the ballroom and where to be in their fancy clothes.
The twelve hurried and got dressed, and then met
