Madam shakes a Venetian fan.
MADAM
Excellency, and howโs Mr. Calculator?
The president of Salvacion covers his mouth with a silk handkerchief.
PRESIDENTE OF SALVACION
I have some of your records. Itโs an honour to meet you.
MADAM
Youโre so kind.
PRESIDENT OF SALVACION
Excuse me. Iโll come back in a moment.
He leaves the scene.
CALCULATOR
He lost his false teeth.
MADAM
Itโs funny.
As she sits down, a head with horns crashes against her, and she falls down on the floor.
The calculator and Chucho help her to her feet.
CALCULATOR
Cagangosto has knocked you down.
Chucho picks up Madameโs wig from a bust of Julius Cesar.
MADAM
What an honour. Heโs the best bullfighter in the world.
The astronaut moves across the scene, wearing space headgear while driving a blackboard.
MADAM
Who is he?
HOMER
Heโs Simpson, the first American astronaut to set foot on Mars.
MADAME
He must be very old. Iโve seen many people on the camp of Marte.
HOMER
Iโm talking of a star in the sky called Mars.
The president of Salvacion appears. He wears another set of false teeth.
PRESIDENT OF SALVACION
The man who was eating here seems to be mad.
He makes circles on his head.
HOMER
Heโs Simpson, the first man to step on Mars.
PRESIDENT OF SALVACION
I remember now. It was that football game where they fought for the tenth star.
MADAM
Iโm sorry Excellency, but Homer talks about those little stars in the night sky.
PRESIDENT OF SALVACION
I understand now. Iโm always so busy. Homerโs guests are famous all over the
world.
HOMER
I would say the universe.
PRESIDENT OF SALVACION
Weโve been through university.
Mele runs in, breathing fast. They all stand up.
